JettaIt's cute that some people think Gaff will get dropped. Name one senior player Simmo has EVER dropped
There are other options apart from Dewar and Baker lmao.
Luke Edwards is available.
Trew will be back after his concussion.
Would much prefer Edwards but some have been advocating for Trew to be given more of an opportunity.
Cole (today's sub) and Foley are defenders of course, but they are also yet to come into the side.
Edwards isnt worth persevering woth IMO. Another b grade plodderLet's be realistic here... in 9 games this season, Luke Edwards has averaged a blistering 10 disposals a game... albeit, one of those games he was the sub, and another one he was subbed out. Gaff needs time in the WAFL, but Zane Trew or Luke Edwards are hardly banging down the door.
He's 19......
195cm
May is 193
Taylor is 196
Do you think players have the same frame at 25 as they did at 19?
I have May #1 defender in the AFL over the last few seasons. I'm not saying bazzo will match him but people are saying he doesn't have the frame to be KPD so we should draft a KPD, and also that he will only be 3rd D50 tall. He'll have the size to be KPD not problem. If he doesn't make it, It won't be his size.MFC list May's height as 193cm and his current playing weight as 101kg.
WCE list Bazzo's height as 195cm and his weight as 86kg.
Took me a bit of time to dig it up, but according to the Sun's website back in 2011, May (19yo at the time) was listed as 190cm and 93kg.
So it's fair to say he's got some growth in him... but I don't think he'll ever be quite the beast that May is.
EDIT: No judgement here, just some information.
70% of any team will be B-graders.Edwards isnt worth persevering woth IMO. Another b grade plodder
We said the same thing about XON.70% of any team will be B-graders.
He's also been playing half-forward most of the time, for some bizarre reason.
His best game against Richmond, a couple of years ago, came when he actually played mid.
Trouble is Edwards is well short of being B grade along with many others.70% of any team will be B-graders.

Xon's had a lot more opportunities and doesn't even deliver as much as Edwards does.We said the same thing about XON.
I agreenot every player can be A grade. But how long has edwards been on the list 3 years? And hasnt even cemented a spot.Xon's had a lot more opportunities and doesn't even deliver as much as Edwards does.
Was out for the season last year, so only his 2nd full season.I agreenot every player can be A grade. But how long has edwards been on the list 3 years? And hasnt even cemented a spot.
May be worth delisting and Putting on the rookie list at best.
Was out for the season last year, so only his 2nd full season.
I'd keep him for another year. Can't cut everyone this year.
Technically we can still do what we did to Legdon last year I guess. He’s also contracted for next year.
He's a smart footballer but he can't get the footy.Edwards has more football smarts than most of our other plodders. He just has no pace and can go missing in games. The missing part may be a positional thing.
Pretty much. Next year is it for him. He's a smart footballer but he can't get the footy.
Gaff is no better and he certainly isn’t going to get better with the experience. Makes more sense to give the games to the younger ones so you can assess if they are AFL quality or not. Having said that I think Gaff competed better this last couple of weeks than he has for a long while. He just isn’t effective or productiveLet's be realistic here... in 9 games this season, Luke Edwards has averaged a blistering 10 disposals a game... albeit, one of those games he was the sub, and another one he was subbed out. Not so much Gaff alone but (this is only a highly speculative thought) could it be that he/some know they are being moved on an their motivation is only now at 95% ??Gaff is no better and he certainly isn’t going to get better with the experience. Fk is he...He’s also contracted for next year.
