I heard whispers a certain proctologist knows absolutely nothing about footy but amuses himself by feeding unreliable information to one of his patients who them repeats said information on the internet and makes a regular fool of himself.

I'm sick of simmo "Backing in Vards".

He's backed in Vards all year and he still hasn't improved. Absolute blind faith in a player who has been horribly out of form since round 1.

Wouldn't bat an eyelid over Vardy being dropped for an untried Brooksby this week, that's how bad he's been going.

Nicnat's return can't come soon enough.
After what Vardy did for us in both Prelim and GF I am happy to give him 15 rounds minimum to figure out ruck in his first year attempt as full time ruck. He was always a forward part time ruck. Relax, enjoy the show. Imagine you were a carlton supporter right now.

So he has his finger on the pulse then?

I heard whispers that no one on this board likes Rotham and there is a secret agreement to not propose him in this weeks team

First year attempt as a full time ruck? He's rucked plenty in his time with us, often on his own in 2017 and he was a much better player.

It's concerning that he's in the worst form of his career (with WCE) when he should be improving.

In 2019 he's averaging club low goals, behinds, disposals, marks, tackles, clearances, contested marks, score involvements and metres gained.

Even more telling is that he's doing all of this from more TOG% as well ^^^^

I still prefer him over the entire Carlton lineup ). Our results are not due to one player, it is a system that breaks down if we lose.winning extra hit outs won't matter that much. He was totally beaten by Gawn, who won the game?? his little steal and handball to crippa for 4th quarter goal was immense and worth a goal or two. Look at the positive, handball ad kicks are meh, he eeds to work on his marks, I do agree . Also ruck is slightly an overrated position, ppl get carried away with stats sometimes. we were getting spanked by every team few years ago having cox and NN, remember?? He is not a liability, Masten is a liability because his errors impact the system.Vardy is fine, he competes and tackles ad chases,he is down in form we are still wining, so it is an upside from now. He wont imporve in WAFL, so that is a waste.

Yeah i appreciate what your saying.

I'm actually a fan of Vardy, have been since he arrived, but i'm also a fan of getting the 4 points.

Thankfully we're only against ROB and likely Jenkins this week so Vardy SHOULD really be able to hold his own.

As long as we break even in centre clearances and supply enough I50's we should win. Our back line is top 2 or 3 in comp IMO hence why we are 6-3 this year. Also we are winning because sheed, shuey and Mr yeo have picked up their work rate. Should be a cracker of a game. Eagles by 6 goals.

It's a horror story right there. Shocking stats.

This I disagree with.
Dogs 2016 specially in GF was a clear example, basically played no ruck. Also us in Prelim and GF last year against two best ruckmen in the comp and still winning was also another example. Richmond 2017 def did not win a flag because of Ruck dominance. Last week against Gawn with hitouts 1 billions to one in favour of Demons was another example. should I continue?? feel free to explain to me how that happened??

Would love to see Matty Allen given a go soon. Although he didn’t have his best game on Thursday he has had a good start to the year. Watching him play on Thursday night he was much quicker than I recall.

Cameron was an interesting one that Simmo threw up in the presser today. Although I fully expect Ah Chee to be the Venners replacement, the idea of adding another small defensive forward with dynamic skills may not be a bad idea if it’s going to be wet.

Nelson was mentioned first by Simmo when talking about Jetta replacements. Rotham seemed to be an afterthought, at least how I read into that. So I’m expecting he would be the one we will pick, along with Schofield to shore up the backs.

So given 3 changes, you’d think it would go something like this:

In: Nelson, Schofield, Ah Chee
Out: Jetta (susp), Venables & Hickey (injury)

Vardy going alone against O’Brien or even Jacobs is less an issue than Gawn, I suspect which is why we will back him in this week and hope to see improvement in the areas we need him to.
