Here's the problem you are barracking for the story not the reality! he's a fringe/depth player, he lacks pace, he's not good enough to dislodge players in his preferred position therefore he's gonna struggle to get games.

If Trengove had been replaced by a returning best 22 player like Jonas/Hartlett/Pittard or to give a newbie like Lienert a go I'd be fine with it. Even giving someone with a bit of potential like Dom Barry another go would've been fine.

The issue isn't that he was dropped, the issue is he was dropped for Amon. It's the second time this season that Amon has been brought into the side when Amon's form didn't warrant selection and the bloke who went out for him's form didn't warrant omission.

I'm not Amon's biggest fan either but it's Trengove you ain't losing much either way not worth a melt hopefully Karl does something for a change.

In many ways I think Ken is backing Ebert as a better defender to Trengove/Pittard. And thinks Amon will have more impact on a quick deck than Ebert/Trengove on the outside.

Of course Ebert may not line up in defence, and my whole argument is useless.
