My thoughts are Rocky be named, given til last minute, but wont come up, so changes come sat night will be atley and pittard for Rocky and Houston.

That being the case, the only change named tonight Pittard for Houston.....

Fittest he's looked in some time. Biggest knock is his speed - really happy to see him get another game because his career is on a knifes edge.

If he’s playing SANFL it’d be on form, not due to a suspension. A suspension would rule him out from all comps.

Honestly not the worst thing in the world for SPP to play a bit of SANFL. What better possible reality check for how lucky he is to be an AFL footballer could there be than having to play an SANFL game.

Hombsch comes in as cover for Howard going into ruck and Clurey stays in, surely. Clurey has too many brownie points to be dropped after one poor game when he was asked to carry too much of the defensive load.

If the AFL investigation is done and dusted then that rationale is fine, but if he's still facing a suspension as has been rumoured, just dropping him to the SANFL as a partial preemptive strike won't count as the extra missed week as he's played a game of organised ball.

Then there's the logistical issue of the Magpies playing midweek, etc.

IMO this is the clearest indication yet that the coaches made a mistake when they decided to play Howard in ruck without replacing his role in defence.

At least they're grown up enough to do something about it.

Has had a heap more opportunities than Atley despite being taken in the same draft. Last year you could say it was justified, not so much anymore.
