We have to quicken our midfield. Ebert, Wines, Fatcliff, Robbie as our main mids is just far too slow. Then our change up is chucking Boak in there.... Im not sure thats the answer.. I previously suggested Motlop and Wingard running through but we are just far too slow. What's the point winning it at the contest if you have no one that can break the lines out the pack? Is Atley quick? Seems to be mixed opinions on that... maybe run Barry on ball.....

our speed is definitely a concern. I feel we can manage this by paired rotations with one of Wines and Pepper in the forward line and the other in the middle. Same said with wingard and motlop to ensure we always have a little pace. Either Barry or Neade also need to be considered for the middle and middle only..........they are not forwards and their pace is needed around the ball.

If the VFL don’t let SPP play this week then they clearly want geebung to win this week
Hammer on FiveAA last night pretty much said that even if SPP is available this week, he may spent a week or so in the Maggies, as his form had been below par

Completely agree but I don't see us doing it unfortunately

Could see SPP, if he comes in, playing as a forward target if our forward line is short instead of playing as a big bodied flanker like Boak for example.

I noticed in the past few games he played in he was just outside the goal square trying to emulate what Dustin Martin does at Richmond.

What’s the reason for no SPP?
Political correctness, pants wetting and incompetence by the AFL integrity department.

If its not a police issue then he has served his time. He has missed out on $5k match payments. We are a ****ing football club not a bloody social agenda committee.

could be melts big tonight.

I reckon Atley and Pittard in for Rockliff and Houston

Don't mind that.

Houston has been just okay, but I can see the reason for wanting to give McKenzie a second shot. Bombers at Etihad was never a good game to bring him in for. Would love to see Atley have a ripper and cement his spot. Will give 10x the competitiveness that Rocky has served up this first month.

I still want to see Hombsch back in for Clurey. No use talking up how great it is to have depth putting on pressure for spots if you don’t use it. Clurey has had two shockers in a row and Hombsch has had a couple of good weeks in the SANFL. Even if Hombsch doesn’t perform any better than Clurey, at least it might put a couple of other senior players on their toes.

Haven't you heard? The AFL is the moral compass of the world. We have higher standards, expectations and penalties on a 20 year old lad than those on politicians, CEOs or the President of the United States.

I think SPP would be in if his form had been hotter before his suspension. But I don't think his form would have seen him dropped without the suspension. It's both things combined - which isn't fair, but life ain't.

I'd bring him in for McKenzie, assuming Howard will mostly play ruck (I'd prefer Howard to go back, but seems unlikely). Covering our 199cm KPD with a 5th mid-size defender doesn't make sense. Then when Ryder returns and Howard goes back, the best of either Clurey or Hombsch keeps his spot.

Didn't you just post the exact opposite of this?
i think I did ha ha. I shall clarify.

My thoughts are Rocky be named, given til last minute, but wont come up, so changes come sat night will be atley and pittard for Rocky and Houston.

That being the case, the only change named tonight Pittard for Houston.....

we shall see
