Beating Geelong is a change... We have done that once since 2007 GF. Thats optimistic. I cant see us getting close.
I watched their last half v the Saints, and once the Saints showed weakness Geelong were just relentless. If we start off as half-hearted as we did with Brisbane and Essendon the Cats we needn't hope for any second half fightback to save us.

That is why he is a shithouse coach. You are supposed to build your players up and make them feel indestructible.. jack style.. not talking them down publicly in pressers etc. No wonder they may be down on confidence. Its total bs by ken.

Even if he isnt going to pick them , publicly he should be saying they are going ok knocking on the door we are just chosing a different path. Not publicly bagging them.
That is an excellent point. One thing I think Pyke does well is install confidence into players and you're right, Jack was the master of this.
If I were Frampton in particular, I would be pretty deflated.

Jack was a realist. He got the best out of most players. I'm pretty sure he couldn't turn ok sanfl players into competitive ok AFL players overnight.

I thought the cannons first game for us was very solid, definitely don’t see him being dropped this week.

Agree, the midfield needs a injection of energy. Snelling has been good all year.

He is a fair dinkum footballer, would love to see him have another crack

Houston > Hombsch
Amon > Barry
Rockliff > Snelling

Houston played his worst game for the club, needs a spell in the SANFL to regain some confidence.
Amon, not sure why he was picked in the 1st place?
Rockliff clearly is well below par atm, needs a good run in the SANFL to regain form, and some fitness.

Snelling is in some ripping form in the SANFL, and his tackling numbers have been huge.
Give him a run Ken!!!.

People have a bloody warped perception of what Hayes or Frampton would be capable of at AFL level.

I dislike this view. We need to give them a go and see what they can do! Have some bloody faith in our players! We must be the only club that doesn't play a young ruckmen in times of need.

So many examples of clubs playing their young up and coming ruckmen, and whadaya know, they can actually play football, provide their team with structure and the try their hearts out.

I can think of a few: Sean Darcy, Archie Smith, Brayden Preuss, Ivan Soldo, Mabior Chol, Lycett (back a few years ago), Tim English, Tom Downie etc etc etc. Heck even Mason Cox got a go when he'd only picked up a football a year prior. What all these guys have in common is that they got a friggin go!

Ken is just a stubborn as hell mother****er who will rather loose games than admit he was wrong.

Where does everyone see Snelling? He could at least supply some defensive pressure. Loves to tackle.

Stats in the 1st 3 weeks this season.

R1 - 22d, 4m, 10t, 1.0
R2 - 31d, 4m, 15t, 0.0
R3 - 25d, 5m, 8t, 1.0

surely deserves a crack at AFL level, can't do much more than that.
