Jonas in for Westhoff, send Howard up forward. Reckon Dougal & Billy would be a good pairing.
Ryder & Lycett have been doing well in the Ruck, but not a lot else. Wouldn't be against giving one a rest & bringing Ladhams in.
I reckon when Dixon comes back and if Marshall is in form, I’d bring both of them in and drop Ryder. Leaving us with a forward line of Dixon, Frampton, Marshall, Rozee, Farrell, Robbie.

This talk about resting Robbie is dumb

He’s been flat since the Charlie Cameron bump vs brisbane but he’s had 3 weeks off with a hand injury, no soft tissue, likely kept running the whole time. Likely fresh as he’s gonna get at this point, commands a top defender and we are one of the most impotent teams for conversion rate inside 50

If he’s ready he plays.

Gray in for Atley IMO. I want to see him getting the midfield minutes he got back when he won the AFLCA MVP award. He's obviously always been capable of the occasional match-winning performance up forward but his best and most consistent football has always been as a midfielder.

Gee i hope this ebert talk is off the mark finding form as a foward just like watts in defence has been a shit yr injury wise.

I want Robbie at the end of the crumbs from Billy crashing the packs.

I swear Rozee is the only one doing it right now, I don't know why basically all our smalls play as talls.

Sorry. Form dictates who comes in. Not age. Take a look, our better players, besides boak, are our young players.

Sorry, this is crap. Technically by this predicate you could have a team full of in-form midfielders and no forwards depending on who was in form. A forward line under six feet one. No rucks.

Even based on position, other factors come into play besides form. The likely opposition player, collective team experience, team structure, game plan and like it or not, coach preferences, all come into play. And other than the last they should.

He should play a game for the Maggies to get the rust out — as Wines should have done.

So Marshall's 1 goal in the SANFL makes him an in??? Don't think so.
Hinkley logic will tell you he's on the verge of something big and we want him exploding at AFL level, normal logic will tell you Marshall hasnt got the body yet to play key position at AFL, nor has he got the work rate that makes up for his body.

No. But I would bring him in anyway. I want to see him playing as CHF/3rd tall with an actual target in our forward line.

Don't envy the selectors after yesterday, ended up being one of those all played well type games.

I feel like Broadbent will make way for Jonas. No idea who makes way for Robbie but hope it's not Farrell.

Yep, Atley should make way. I'd put Robbie straight into the middle and leave Farrell in.

Wines was playing his first game for the year after an interrupted preseason - the 2 situations arent comparable IMO

I too would like to subscribe to this newsletter.

Play him 70% midfield, get him up and going in games, and rest him down forward the other 30% where he'll snag a couple and the defenders wont have time to settle in against him.
