Surely Barrass, Rioli and Naitanui are all straight in, barring setbacks.

Plenty of debate about the outs but these guys are best 22 if fit.

It's not about actions its about results.

Someone got hurt so suspension is on the guard. MRP is a joke for this very reason.
De Boer broke his collarbone last week when the other player slung him forcefully (albeit De Boer initiated the tackle). Wasn't cited.

Gov should be fine, it was a pressure act on a player with the ball (technically contact was a fraction after ball release), in no way was he looking to drive him into the fence. Basically an accident.

Frawley was deemed careless, body and low impact for this in Round 8, which was a fine.

Even if they upgrade Guelfi’s to medium impact, Gov is fine. If they deem it intentional or high impact we’ve got problems.

It seems that the AFL has set a precedent here and they will sensibly adhere to it. Gov will be fine.

I'm just kidding.

This was supposed to be the year when all the irregularities with MRP, Tribunal, Rules were ironed out.
In fact, what we have is exactly the opposite. Players, umps and coaches haven't got a clue.
There is no consistency and like in tonight's game the match was well over umpired.
The AFL has got itself into a right mess. it's more fun watching The Matilda's.

Out : Schofield , Cameron , Allen

In Barrass ,Rioli , Nicnat

Just like for likes even though old man Schofield has been great , Cameron fantastic debut played his role well and Allen has been playing Ruck but would keep us too tall up fwd ..

I would be happy to go into next week with just one change.
Rioli in for Cameron.
Not sure we need Hutch against the Hawks either.
Give Nic Nat and Barrass another week to get it right.

Just read, broken ribs and possible concussion, it might be two or more.

Can’t be two or more. It can’t be deemed intentional, there’s no world in which that happens. It careless, and there’s precedent that this is a fine.

Careless, high impact, to the body is one week. That’s the maximum this can be. If they deem this intentional it’ll be the fastest challenge of ours lives.

My bet is careless, medium impact, body - sizeable fine, free to play.

Out: Masten, Schofield/Nelson, Ollen (Unlucky)
In: Naitanui, Rioli, Barrass

Surely we can’t go in with Naitanui, Hickey & Ollen. Especially if NN spends more time forward. Plus, That mix but with Vardy rather than NN wasn’t really working for us earlier in the season.

B: Hurn Barrass Sheppard
HB: Duggan McGovern Jetta
C: Gaff Yeo Redden
HF: Rioli Darling Cameron
F: Cripps Kennedy Ryan
R: Naitanui Shuey Sheed

I/C: Hickey, Petrucelle,
Hutchings, Schofield/Nelson

Hopefully Cole can get himself back into a bit of form sooner rather than later.

Not even worth a report. Didn't know you couldn't push a player in the side in the field of play. That's not an incorrect action from Gov, that's a stadium issue. If the fence isn't a safe distance from the play for something that happens 50 times a game, then bring the boundary in.

We could be done on this though: "Contact shall be classified as High or to the Groin where a Player’s head or groin makes contact with another Player or object such as the fence or the ground as a result of the actions of the offending Player "
If the tribunal are ridiculous, could be 2 weeks.

Careless conduct
A Player’s conduct will be regarded as Careless where his conduct is not intentional, but constitutes a breach of the duty of care owed by the Player to all other Players. Each Player owes a duty of care to all other Players, Umpires and other persons (as applicable) not to engage in conduct which will constitute a Reportable Offence being committed against that other Player, Umpire or other person (as applicable).

In order to constitute such a breach of that duty of care, the conduct must be such that a reasonable Player would not regard it as prudent in all the circumstances. Further, a Player will be careless if they breach their duty to take reasonable care to avoid acts which can be reasonably foreseen to result in a Reportable Offence.

Frawley was careless. What Gov did is involved in the above. Only question is if they call it high impact because of any injuries. He should get off.
