I wish the AFL would just man up, admit its a farce and scrap it as of next week. Why wait til next season. Every single person associated with the AFL hates it.
Because you have to link it with reduced rotations or its too big a disadvantage if you lose a player to injury early. That then changes the game such as running 2 ruckmen, training and recruiting for endurance etc. I'm sure it will happen next year though unless the AFL hierarchy are complete idiots....wait...

Exactly - you could even put 6 on the interchange and limit the rotations to 80. Then everyone in the 24 get a decent whack at some real game time ... and injuries would not kill a game.

They should just revert back to a 4 man bench. Injuries were also a part of footy, no need for the sub rule in the first place.

The clubs players complain when anything is changed ....end of footy as we know it

Can't play night time footy because of players who where glasses / lenses

Can't play games on other days other than Saturdays ....and certainly can't have 5 or 6 day breaks

Sub rule adds extra tactics ....will extend the careers of aging players .....great introduction for young players who can't run out a full game ......now a player can't be a sub two games in a row ...FFS

Can't possibly reduce rotations as it will ruin what is a great spectacle ......Jobe Watson (a real intellectual) it'll shorten players careers .....now all in favor of reducing rotations to 80 or less

Players having to do a PS before a PS .....AFL players not enjoying footy ......oh so sad ...give up your $500K salary and go surfing then ...or is it a job ? ...you do have a choice you know!!!

FACT: whatever change is proposed ...that change will ruin the game

yes now because the Lemmings follow each other ....but in the start it was supported by the very people criticizing it

the sub rule is reducing opportunities and by doing so is killing footy careers
rubbish ......footy was played for 100 years with 2 reserves not interchangeable ......didn't see ANY careers killed

Footy was a little bit different back in the amateur days.
How ? ......

He's the idiocy of this whole argument:

Clubs say in PS that NAB games are meticulously planned for players playing minutes ......then Essendon players can't play any NAB games and declare their training has prepared their players perfectly
OR
What about the 2 Crows emergency players who travel with the team and don't play any games that weekend .....but its on;y the sub player that is disadvantaged in being robbed of game time .....give me a break

Have you noticed the drop kick and flat punt dont get used much anymore?
I thought we re-introduced the flat punt last week. There has to be some reason for all of those turnovers.

There are also a boat load of flat punts amongst the Poort Poower supporters.

No ....Sam Mitchell did a drop kick last week ....was called holding the ball ;)

And nearly every Crows centre clearance last week were flat punts :(
