Brander and Ah Chee were by most measures quite reasonable tonight, certainly not our worst. Cripps, Sheed and Redden, for example, we're far worse. JK and Hurn are sadly up against it now and have played on one year too many.
Want Cameron and Jones in as you suggested as we are not mobile enough. And move Duggan into the midfield maybe as our mids are battered.

Everybody in the league knows where an Eagles kick in is going. It didn't go to him, it went to the group of players he was in. He was just the only eagle that ever marked it.

Brander was the only one that could mark the ball tonight. Why would you drop him? He should be pushed up forward if anything.
He played well for someone played totally out of position and in the worst possible conditions.
He still directly cost us 3 goals with simple skill errors. Errors that a proper wingman/midfielder wouldn't make but that a key position player in shitty conditions can well be forgiven for.
It isn't on him. Just stop playing him on the wing in slippery conditions. It's a stupid selection decision
I'd argue it doesn't help others marking it when him and Ryan fly. At least Ryan has anther role and plays it well. I just can't see how, if we think Ah Chee actually has anything to offer at the level, he's going to achieve it trying to play like he's 6 inch taller.
Alternatively, if he moved away from the contest, he'd either drag his man or ideally be free elsewhere for an easy out.

Not sure why all the hate for Brander and Ah Chee.
Ah Chee was far from our worst.
And Brander finally showed some glimpses even although he made some shocking mistakes too (and the jogging needs to stop).
But he actually found the ball a bit this game and showed some skills at times.
Schoey needs to remain in the team - he gives an F, goes hard at it and is clearly best 22 right now.
Petruccle needs to go. And JK probably needs to go too
Bit dissappointed in Rotham as he had shown a lot in past games, barely sighted him do anything this one.
Hurn gets a reprieve for now I reckon - it's not like Rotham outshone him and made a claim for his spot.

Blood some kids. Had enough of watching Kennedy, Redden, Cripps and the like not contributing anything.
Even pick the ones who have been blooded but not selected like Ainsworth.
The biggest problem I noticed with Brander tonight is that he doesn't know how to weight his kicks properly particularly when kicking over a mark.
Hopefully that is something that can be rectified with adequate attention.

Love Kennedy, but JK out. Allen plays in his role. Allen and Brander forwards. (Especially Allen. Cannot believe they waste him in the ruck so JK can (ineffectively) keep his spot). Should be a no brainer.
Hurn out - another legend, but time’s up. He’s been horrendous since half of last year.

The big name underperformers need to be dropped. Kennedy (Definitely), Hurn (definitely), Darling (maybe one more chance).
Might scare some of the others into performing at the level we all know they are capable of.
If you’re not going to win, might as well let Brander and Waterman play and gain experience.
Only round 3 and it’s not all gloom and doom, but why does it feel Like it is??? We look so old and slow... how will we survive Port? Geelong? Full Strength Richmond? Collingwood? Impossible.
We Simply cannot win, based on present form, which is not a new thing. We have been underperforming since 2019.
A loss when effort has been put in is ok. But an elite team losing due to no/poor effort really really reallllyyyyyy hurts!

Because Williams in Brander out cancels eachother.
In that case we might as well go home now. Will not win a single game.
