So we've done a bit of risk management and decided that two middling talents is preferable to one elite talent (based on phantom drafts etc) because we're scared the elite talent will run home to Mummy?

We're cowards, and the players are sooks and I'm melting.

Ginbey is not a middling talent like Brad Sheppard said he is a 200 gamer

I beg to differ.

He certainly did have opportunities to win the game for Claremont.
I was there watching it and he was disappointing when he needed to kick the important goals…..he didn’t …. Being able to handle pressure moments is required from an AFL KPF.

I don’t know who you heard that he would have won the Simpson Medal had Claremont won, but IMO his game was several levels lower in importance than what Bolton put in.

I have no objection to him being offered a train on spot, I just don’t think that he will make it…. I would be thrilled for him if he proves me wrong.

Funny, I was there watching it too, but that's the interesting thing about opinions, we each get one, and only hindsight will tell us if they ever mattered.

Hope he get a run-on with a club and proves his doubters wrong, and if not, we get another year of watching him at Claremont.

If we want Darcy Jones, his performance at the combine might mean we need pick 20. He might even bolt higher so we don't get that chance. I did not expect this; I thought his size would hold him back to pick 40+.

Reid and Ginbey are dual position so handy. We need to finish last imo to get Reid.

JHF wasn't loyal. Neither was Rankine. I highly doubt eagles take Phillipou for some reason. If we miss Ginbey at 8 then we may go busslinger or if one of the top 6 slide but I can't see Phillipou and I doubt Phillipou is there at 12 and even if he is I actually think eagles would pick Hewett ahead of him. It will take a fair bit for eagles to pass up a local.
