What's the deal with Grundy?
By that I mean is he really that good? Or is he just being talked up because he's the best ruckman in the draft, which may or may not mean he's good)

18, 19, 20 plus four premiership players - Lynch, Young, Ball, Macaffer and then add Krak and Keefe.

We lost a midfielder who is fifth in line and a CHF who can't mark overhead.

Well done Maggies. In Hine we Trust

No point pretending we aren't going to lose anyone to injury, ball krak keefe macaffer will just be replacing other injured players most likely, not like we'll have extra players because we won't have injurises next year.

I reckon the Cats would take him.

Cats look set for ruckmen with Vardy, Simpson, West and Mcintosh. Kangas would be stupid not to pounce though. Behind Goldstein they have just Mabon, Curran and Daw with the last two as part timers really.

4 players for basically the whole year??? I doubt it. That's not including Didak or Johnson who played very few games. To downplay our injuries this year is futile. No way we'll be hit like that again.

Thats it, the injuries, club suspensions, etc will come. You can never really have a "best 22" in AFL.

Well going from Pick 21 to 20 does not really effect us a heap

Helps more than you think, say we had Lonergan, Kennedy and O'Brien as our top 3, and they were all available, it saved us from choosing two and hoping Adelaide passed up on the other one. Now with 3 in a row, we will get who we want and not have to worry about Adelaide's pick.

Yes it does Adelaide were really keen on Kennedy and O'brien now we cant just sit back and let them fall to us

also i know we can just take them with our first two picks but still

We would take them both at 18 and 19 Then if we where that Keen

Add in the fact they already have crouch and are committed to Joyce and callinan and this draft is weakened due to mini draft and it is a very smart move by the crows.

If Grundy slides to GWS at 14 and they pass on him would that bring him to 18?

GWS very much want Grundy. Bank on it. They are just taking the chance that he is available at 14 with none of those clubs with selections inside the top 13 looking for another ruckman.

North Melbourne and Geelong would also take Grundy if available. No doubt but neither will have a chance at him with GWS to be the destination assuming he slides that far. Just not of Collingwood relevance sadly.

hoping for
18-stringer
19-garlett
20-tim o'brien.. who is o'brien?

Is there any chance geelong don't take stringer? Wasn't going to put him is because i thought he was always going to go top 10ish, i only put him there because most of the phantom drafts think he will some how slide to our picks.

Geelong could decide against Stringer in the scenario there is someone else available they rate more highly. Josh Simpson perhaps has been rumoured as one who might be. Aidan Corr although not rated on bigfooty could be another they might rate. So there is an outside chance they pass if available.

That said he might not be available to Geelong with North Melbourne and some yet to be known clubs with higher draft selections showing late interest.

How about Fort Caruso...dual Morrish medal winner and was doing nicely at Coburg as well...but no one drafted him. Mostly because he was only 168cm.

THe Morrish medal is not overly rated it seems...mostly because a lot of the guns were away playing championships for most of the season.

Not too many of the morrish medalists have gone on to make it. Lenny Hayes has been the best of the lot. Problem with that medal is that half of the top round selections also go to private schools and don't play enough TAC games to give themselves a chance to win it
