Please...

There were 13 wickets on day one, the pitch obviously does a bit if the bowlers are prepared to work at it, now the game at Newlands.... yeah I'd pay that. SA declared at 4/50 and SL are 2/150 on a freeway of a pitch

I know the focus is on the skipper, but Hussey could conceivably get his first 200 in Test cricket if he gets his skates on.

Clarke has almost scored 7 times as much in this innings as the entire team did in the 2nd dig at Cape Town.

You'd have to say that's a pretty silly declaration by SA. :p

I'm enjoying it immensely. NOt a fan of Clarke, but He's batted superbly and may have 400 around tea time. It is a great innings and looking forward to an innings and 250 run win.

Enjoying the indian forums complaining about the humiliation as well.

Looking forward to the indians coming out to bat with 50 to 70 minutes before stumps, exhausted, demoralised, and dehydrated to face a fully rested siddle and patto-man bowling at 150 km an hour on a crumbling pitch.

Should be brilliant with some rib ticklers and easy wickets. :thumbsu:

Another ICF gem.

"I don't think getting 300+ against Bangladesh , Zimbabwe or India is a big thing.

Clarke does not deserve too much praise for this innings."

Edit: Beaten to it.

and another.

"India on top ,I mean in the sexual position"

STAT ALERT: Clarke has scored more runs in this innings than he and Ponting combined totted up in the entire Ashes series a year ago.

Depressing really.

according to this search i've done on cricinfo this is the first time one innings has had 2 x 250-run partnerships.... anyone else reckon that doesn't seem right??

i would've thought that had happened for sure at some stage.

Nah, it's right.

Yeah but your teams always bounce back pretty quick. Selectors put pressure on players and tell the old ones to take a hike. Look at us it looks like India cricket is like a retirement facility. I doubt India is going to recover in a long time to come.

We were pretty close to dropping Hussey and Ponting
