Selfless declaration from Clarke. This is why Australia win more. India will be dismissed today so that the Indian cricket team can have a Indian fan paid tour of Sydney.

Now its time to see how the India top order go can their openers set the middle order up.

Great innings by Clarke and good to see Hussey and Punter back getting centuries.

Haha, was thinking Bradman. Well, 52 runs would have felt like only a handful for Clarke with the way he was seeing the ball. Disappointing, but what a knock!
Haydos was a very forgettable knock :p

I have been watching with no sound, but judging by the TV pictures they were obviously focused on the 334?

"2 f***ing great days" - absolutely right, Pup. Awesome innings.

I don't know how you can criticise that declaration. India checked out mentally some time yesterday, might as well get this over with - especially with the forecast of rain tomorrow. I do wish he'd gotten the 334 first, though. That would have made into a tradition for an Australian captain to equal Bradman's best score and then declare. That would be a really cool tradition. Still, winning has to be number one priority, and that declaration gives us the best chance of winning. Maybe it introduces a very tiny chance of a loss, but honestly, India have zero thoughts of winning this test right now.

What if he accidently got a boundary and hit 335 and then declared. Would look like a dog.

Screw the don and his 334.

You talking team? What's the individual highest score at the SCG in first class cricket. Bradman's highest wa 452(?). Was that at the SCG?? someone here will know.

Yeah team record. 707 I think.

Would have been nice to get it since it was against us and not that long ago and most of the batsmen who made it are playing in this game!
