That’s the point isn’t it. We all rate Hamish, but If he thinks Luko is that good then great, let’s back him in. His judgement has proved sound so far.
It's hard to believe the best talent guy in the AFL would handicap himself in NEXT years draft for 1 kid, as good as either Rankine or Lukosius may be.

They reckon we'll put bids in for Blakey, Quaynor and Will Kelly. In the end we get Caldwell, Collier-Dawkins and McHenry from the 1st round.
If those are our first two picks, I will need to excuse myself on Thursday night! Excitement will be too much to handle! :D

Think it's more likely pick swap for Rankine at 3.
Lukosius to GC at 2, leaves Rozee to Port at 5
This is what I hope it is too... although I still think GC will keep 2&3 and take luko and Rankine..

We need Rankine more than we need Luko. I’ve been like a broken record on this for months now.. on constant repeat. Rankine plays from Round one next season.... with lynch, tex, mcadam, JJ, fog, himmelburg as our tall/medium tall forwards... luko would spend the next two years developing in the sanfl... everyone here knows it, it’s what adelaide does. Might as well let luko go to GC... and get him back in two-four years from now when retirement for tex, JJ and lynch is due.

I’ll be just that slightly bit pissed if we grab luko over Rankine... if we are going to be a finals contender next season we need speed, freakish x-factor and game breakers... that’s Rankine.

I'm almost worried what the pressure would be like on Lukosuis if we did sell 3 first round picks for him. Likely he doesn't play straight away, people will expect him to come firing from the very first game he plays, add to that the Adelaide fish bowl and it's a lot of pressure for an 18 year old to handle.

We need Luko far more IMO.

Key forwards as good as he, and Max King for that matter, are very very rare to find.

It certainly is a hefty price. But to be fair, if you are ever going to pay massively for 1 recruit, then Rankine or Luko this year is the time you would do it. We could wait 20 more years before we have a similar chance to get an SA kid of this quality.

Cannot happen Gold Coast do not have a 2019 4th rd pick, to give back to the Crows.
Crows will need a 2019 3rd and 4th rd pick back in order to trade the 2019 1st
I reacon the AFL would allow it... it’s only a fourth round pick and they have allowed clubs to break this rule in the past..

Plus they will want some sort of live pick trade to happen in the top 10.. or else everyone’s gonna wonder why th rules were introduced.... picture how much of a flop it will look if they introduce it and no even does a live trade.

We all know what they are like these days when it comes to making a marketable “event” out of everything..

Was it #67?
Around that mark, Quaynor really doesn't play anything like Luke Brown, in fact the times I've seen him he plays like an undersized 3rd Tall intercepting defender. Sam Sturt absolutely exposed him on the fast lead in the TAC Grand Final, so much so they moved Quaynor off him after the 1st quarter He's definitely not a close checking one on one defender either, usually gives his forward plenty of latitude and plays his own game which would be fraught with danger at AFL level I feel. Can he transition into the midfield? There's talk that may be the end game with him as he's certainly built for it.

We’ll get a first round pick next year, you watch, one of our talented vicco players will ask to be traded home!...

I'd like 29 back in return, or their 2nd rounder next year which would make things far more palatable. 3 firsts for 1 pick is so far overs.

Unless its Crouch or Sloane we won't get a first round pick. But once again, our retention of Victorian kids is actually quite good.

I would really hope Collingwood passes on Quaynor in that situation, though, don't think he's as good as everyone is making him out to be

IF you guys did bid Pick 8 on Him I would hope we do to as I don't rate him that Highly

Nah - I would not worry about that. I think the opportunity to have Fogarty and Lukosius and also Himmelberg forming a playing relationship going forward will be a huge plus for us and I think supporters will give him time as they are for Fogarty

Sounds like you Guys are Really Keen on Pies Academy Kid Quyanor and Father Son Will Kelly and could put some very high Bids on them

Pass on Quaynor, absolutely put in a bid in on Will Kelly, looks a real player when he matures body wise.

I think you overestimate the bed wetters in the fanbase. How many tanties were thrown about Doedee before he played?

Yeah, if we asked for special consideration due to taking multiple first round picks this year the AFL would be unlikely to refuse due to a 4th round pick.
