Not as bad with those added back. I still think it’s too high, but the key difference being that at the moment this is another fantasy trade made up by us or the media. Once it became real, I would assume Hamish has given the deal the ok. In that case, I’ll be backing Hamish and the club that the trade stands up. But as a hypothetical we give up too much. 8 is going to be a gun player and so is 13.

You are right that 8 & 13 will be likely topline players. If such a deal goes ahead and we can get back a 2019 3rd and 4th, we would go in with enough points for our NGA player(s) next year and that may already be a strategy the club is thinking. So it costs 3 x 1st for Lukosius but we replenish our later 2019 picks, I could handle that and we still keep 16 & 21 in this draft

Suns are missing their 2nd and 4th round picks next year. Unless they're willing to give us Brisbane's 1st rounder (which would likely be a downgrade for them) it seems it's an impossible trade unless the AFL sign off on breaking their rules.

But if we secured 2019 picks from them and gave them 2019 picks - is that not a status quo?

I think it will go like this, we will wait and see what the Blues take and the Suns at pick 2.

With that we will then make our play. No point of going all in now if the Blues take a Rankine and the Suns Luko at 2.

I really don’t know about that. If he comes to the crows I see him as a mobile 3rd tall like our Tom Lynch. Himmelberg and Fogarty as the two key forwards. Or Bailey Williams .

I can see Fogarty being a CHB too. It’s not as sexy, but it’s a key position to lock down and have a guy that can dominate his opponent. What Talia does for us is soooo under-rated.

But I can see a 3 tall forward line of EH, Fog and Luko working beautifully. But Luko isn’t my CHF in my dream.
