Option B thanks EddieEither he's the best mature age talent in the history of the draft, or it's bullshit.

Nice way to cap off 2018Would be a really bad night.
Why 16th on our talent list means they think there's 15 players in this draft they rate better prospects, its not pick 16 there talking about? Where would Stephen Wells have had Tim Kelly on his ranking board?Either he's the best mature age talent in the history of the draft, or it's bullshit.
He goes alright too, very good aerialist for a smaller bloke but he goes to Collingwood if they want him and I just don't see the list need at all and certainly not if Boyd Woodcock is available.Channel 7 saying we’ve shown some interest in Collingwood NGA Atu Bosenavulagi. Obviously very likely to be a Pie, though
Its an absolute disgrace that state of origin is no more. For those wanting some footy, State of Origin 1994 on replay on Fox.
Tim Kelly went at 24 last year, so it's not inconceivable we might rate him highly. Dunno about 16, but in that 25 range might be realistic.Either he's the best mature age talent in the history of the draft, or it's bullshit.
We'd struggle to beat anyone.I
Its an absolute disgrace that state of origin is no more.
For starters he's a goal kicking mid, which we dont have many of. Is a terrific leader and team first player a bit like Sloane. What do you rate so highly of O'Halloran? I haven't seen nearly enough to make a judgement.
Me too !Good effort from Balmer, would be happy with that outcome.
Melbourne are getting an absolute steal at #29 with O'Halloran if that top 30 pans out that way.I actually rate Valente higher than O’Halloran as a prospect, so in a vacuum I’d be happier with that haul, however Valente doesn’t suit our needs with his lack of pace
LOLJust heard an interesting discussion by the boys on 5aa with a journo Max ?? (didn't catch last name).
He told them that he had only just interviewed Port's National Recruiting Manager, Geoff Parker, who told them that he had had many discussions with Gold Coast re trading up to their picks 2 or 3.
Parker had told him that they had put 3 different scenarios for a trade of picks to Gc who had refused all 3. In turn the GC had put 3 different scenarios back to Port , none of which were acceptable to Port.
As a result Port are resigned to using their pick 5 as their first pick in the draft.
Parker also apparently said that he cannot see the Crows being able to trade up either as he believes they can offer better than what the Crows can.
Interesting.
Given their picks they’d have to match otherwise they are getting are far inferior player but we’d have to be happy to take him there of course !I'm worried we bid on Quaynor and collingwood dont match. I also think Hately ends up at Geelong. Would love to grab him if available though.
Haha we must be still upset re Rutten giving away that free kick in 2009 the way we’re going about itChannel 7 saying we’ve shown some interest in Collingwood NGA Atu Bosenavulagi. Obviously very likely to be a Pie, though
We need midfielders to hit the scoreboard, it's something they all lack aside from Greenwood.
for the memes alone yes, think he'll be similar to Atkins, I rate others higher around his expected pick but won't be too disappointed.
We all have that one favourite player that we desperatley want at the club and mine this year is Xavier O'Halloran, who should be avaliable at 16 or 21, so fingers crossed the club agrees with me.
Not consistently though, and that's what we need. Plus these 2 aren't likely to contribute much more goals wise than they have across their careers, although Sloane should spend more time forward IMO.Gibbs and Sloane don't mind a goal
To be fair it seems like we’re having that ‘chip on our shoulder’ attitude towards all clubs with academy/FS players hahaHaha we must be still upset re Rutten giving away that free kick in 2009 the way we’re going about it
Butters adds stuff we dont have IMO, Williams too but I reckon someone will reach for him.I want Bailey Williams. We need 1 big man. Butters is ok but I think there are others better.
I touched on this in another thread.
If we bid on Quaynor @8 and Pies match, they will need to use 41, 44 and 57 will slide back to 63. They will then be left with 59, 60 and 63 which equals 416 points.
That only gives them enough to match a bid from pick 31 onwards without going into deficit. However, they are allowed to go into deficit, but I have no idea what the rules and regulations around that are. How far into a 'deficit' can you go, and what will that do for their picks next year?
If we do bid on Kelly though at 21, it does only mean that Pies will be 265 points in deficit from their 416 points total, which isn't really a lot in the scheme of things. It most likely just means that their 2nd pick in 2019 draft (I think they used their first in the beams trade??? Correct me if im wrong I havent checked) will be downgraded by 10 or so spots. Not that big of a punishment imo for a highly rated and athletic KPD.
There's also an element of risk that pies don't match, and we are stuck with Quaynor at 8, but I think Pies will match. To get a 10-15 prospect for pick 41 and 44 seems too good to turn down.
does that indicate decreased chance of trading up?Someone on Facebook posted from an event Fagan was a speaker at. Claimed Fagan said we wanted 5 picks in the first 25 for this draft because we rated it so highly and had McAdam rated at 16 on our talent list.
Best to start a clean one i reckon.Could someone please advise which thread is for actual live draft ?
Or is there going to be another one created
