Literally an accidental collision of heads. Is Saliba supposed to just let him win the ball freely? He also makes contact with the ball.

Should every head collision in the box now be a penalty in benefit of the attacker?
Almost all collisions are accidental. What is the difference between that and a late tackle with the foot?

He could have not challenged, but ended up contacting late and not winning the ball. It's a foul everywhere on the pitch.

Not a huge difference to previous weeks except we took our chances and the opponent didn't.
Average xG last 3 games has been 1.82, scoring a total of 8 goals and conceding 1.

Previous 3 games average xG was 0.97, scoring a total of 2 goals and conceding 6.

So actually 3 things have changed. Meaningful chance creation, attacking efficiency and defensive efficiency.

It isn't a coincidence that having KDB and Silva central, Savinho on the left, no Walker or Gundogan starting is seeing all 3 metrics improve and confidence growing (albeit without the ball things remain imperfect). The Savinho-Haaland axis is starting to see the latter player thrive again.

Confidence is a funny thing. Pep has tinkered with things and settled on his best use of resources until a couple of players return.

Glad you think it's all the same though. You need to pay a little more attention to pick up on the little details.

I respectfully disagree with both of you. I've watched it several time and am astounded it's been given. Saliba also makes contact with the ball.

But what is the difference between a late foot challenge and a late head challenge? I'd argue the ball makes contact with him rather than him making contact with the ball.

I get the frustration but to me it's a stonewall penalty.

Oh good, you're trying to be a dick again. Onto ignore for you.

Honest question: What did you think about the shoulder to Anthony Gordon’s nose?

If that’s was an accidental foot challenge I reckon it’s a penalty.
But that wasn’t given as an accidental head clash/contact.

Was that from today's game? I missed the first game, forgot it was on.

Yeah, it was. Of course a video is better, here is the contact.

Shrug, cant tell him a still what happened and I never saw the game unfortunately, was looking after the daughter while the wife was out and she wasnt in a mood to sleep. not even 6 weeks old yet.

I’d agree with the others that it’s unlucky, but it’s a penalty. He headbutted him…

The contact he made with the ball was from the ball hitting him, rather than the other way around.

Haha what a ridiculous tantrum, all for praising Pep for finding his best line up and attacking set up, while removing a couple of dinosaurs. It's not surprising that such changes can make "luck turn".

Oddly you are more angry now that the goals are going in than you were when they weren't. All because you're insistent that nothing changed.

I also believe this should have been a penalty for similar reasons.

Just watched this. What a joke. I don’t know what the point of VAR even is anymore.
If that hits Joelinton in the defensive box I'm fine with it not being a penalty, but how can you score a goal off it? Harry Kewell shouldn't have been sent off against Ghana then back in 2010, his arm was in his natural shape.

You shouldn't be able to gain an advantage from a handball, accidental or not. Foul for mine.

Thats fine that you think that it doesn't make it the rule.
