AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Injuries have exposed our recruitment and coaching departments. Beaten by a team of spuds. I know a club when i see it that is on the same page and trying their guts out and we are far from it. Something smells down at west lakes.

Would it be, though?Might get in trouble with the AFL for making it too obvious that we're tanking.

Gibbs was a mistake for what we gave up. Should have been done the year before for 1 first rounder or not at all.Nothing wrong with our recruiters.
It's when the non recruiters get involved that things go to shit.
I'm still highly sceptical our recruiting team was so big on Gibbs, that has the smell of upper management all over it particularly with how it was handled on our first attempt.
Christ Kym Dillon is terrible on talk back

Basically that he was the softest player in the history of the AFL (or words to that effect)
And now injured- of course.midfield was abysmal in that last quarter. against a fyfeless freo.
one positive was luke brown (minus injury) always feel safe with him on the last line. one of our reliable players.
If he is fit without any shoulder injury, then I have no idea. You know what disappoints me?
Matt Crouch: 0 tackles
You know it's bad when your best mid from last year is putting in no defensive effort
There's a lot of that going on. Let's not forget that we were literally missing half our team. AWOL tonight were Brouch, Sloane, Smith, McGovern, Knight, Lynch and Laird, with Mrouch & Tex massively underdone, and JJ & Brown getting injured during the game. It is absolutely no surprise at all that we're playing abysmally - the Sydney game was a massive aberration, and we've struggled in every other game against even moderately decent opposition. Do not underestimate the impact of losing so many key players, playing underdone players, and a lack of continuity from so many senior players.Look. We were bad. But that's a bit of an overreaction.
It's not a blessing that arguably the best squad misses the finals... but agree with the sentiment that we have picked a good draft year to screw up.No finals this year. Could be a blessing in disguise given the draft.
Our first will now be enough for Rankine.
We need to trade Lynch (first), Melbourne’s first and our 2019 first at Brisbane (Lukosius).
Time to rebuild.

2018 is completely shot, and we now have no chance of making the finals. We're now too far behind the 8-ball, even if we do get a bunch of players back after the break. That doesn't mean that coaches should be taken out the back and shot, or that it's "time for a rebuild".
