And rightly so. However, it was at this moment that indicated change was needed from top to bottom.Pyke was sacked. He had his opportunity to enact change, he chose not to.

Lol, you are going to be seriously disappointed!sanfl leadership group.
Yep , without laying the boot into the guy probably sums up why he wasn’t our greatest captainBut Rory just praised him in a huge way. How do you reconcile that? Or do you think he's that ignorant of club history that he believes Burto was captain?

Well we've been mediocre for years so....... looks like nothings changing.Lol, you are going to be seriously disappointed!
He is a lock for our AFL side.
Speak for you own posting standards, not mine...Well we've been mediocre for years so....... looks like nothings changing.
I'm not the one who wants mediocre players in the team.Speak for you own posting standards, not mine...
Given your posting, I would have thought by now you would have a better understanding of the concept of mediocre...I'm not the one who wants mediocre players in the team.
Ok mr "if you don't get vaxed you're selfish".Given your posting, I would have thought by now you would have a better understanding of the concept of mediocre...
Watching that ball swing back through the goals..............pricelessYes, picked that up and will be interesting to see what happens in the early rounds.
And any player that kicks a goal after the siren against the PAPs deserves immortality and captaincy.
Watching that ball swing back through the goals..............priceless
Good to hearYeah he posted a congrats in his Instagram story the day it was announced
Yep , without laying the boot into the guy probably sums up why he wasn’t our greatest captain
Inherently positive to the point of being naive at times
Some of his greatest personality strengths are also his weakness
It's been ingrained in the senior players for a while, this sense of entitlement that they are owed everything. Rory is at the heart of that i reckon. If you search my posting history, you'll see a few similar assessments of Sloane's positivity. Bit this is a bit different, he knows that Burton was sacked, he commenced legal action for breach of contract, it's pretty hard to have missed it. It's not just inherent positivity, there's an inherent arrogance or indoctrination as well. It came out in an interview on AA last year when he was asked if they should get some freshness through the midfield, his defensiveness was fairly clear as he rambled on about the experienced players doing the job.

You should have asked him Sloane was a candidate or was that after Sloane stepped downWell, I dont know if he meant it, but Berg made a comment in our interview today that the players voted on the captaincy - "a pretty resounding decision"...
Youngsters are taking ownership.
the comment actually took me by surprise and it was a bit out of context, so the moment to dig passed before I could ask any follow up on it. The implication was that it was a captaincy vote, not a post Sloane resignation captaincy vote. You should have asked him Sloane was a candidate or was that after Sloane stepped down
Have no doubt this is the case , hence the players had close knowledge on what the outcome was going to be ( quite a while ago too )the comment actually took me by surprise and it was a bit out of context, so the moment to dig passed before I could ask any follow up on it. The implication was that it was a captaincy vote, not a post Sloane resignation captaincy vote.
What attitude ?It's been ingrained in the senior players for a while, this sense of entitlement that they are owed everything. Rory is at the heart of that i reckon.
Same attitude from those suggesting that Dawson doesn't deserve the captaincy because he's only been there for a year, and other players are more deserving because they've been there longer!
