I know what you mean, but BZT will arguably start off next season as 3rd or 4th in line behind Aliir and a fully-fit McKenzie (if there is such a thing) at Port. At the very least he gives us better depth.

If Ridley and Laverde were at Port, they are probably ahead of all our tall defenders except Aliir.

Nah. Laverdes been fighting way above his weight division and Zerk would be second tall. Allows Ridley to play his more natural game

I think Mackay is overrated and a limited player with one real weapon but a pretty decent weapon.

Zerk-Thatcher is only behind Ridley and McKay, but their depth shows that he is replaceable. Getting McKay for free and a pick for bzt is good business.

Who knows about Grundy but it was clear McKay was always staying in Victoria. Is going to get paid massive money staying in his home state. He was never really a realistic option and blaming the club is dumb.

Every time I’ve ever looked at the North board McKay is always getting slammed as being soft as butter.
We have enough Vanilla players as it is.

Id hazard a guess that IF Zerk stayed, he and McKay would partner up and Laverde would be the one pushed out.
