We've actually got 43 total at the moment as we have one cat B in Moss.

Oh. Forgot about Moss. He will be Category B for 2025 and we can have two Cat B, which forms part of our total rookie numbers, and becomes 44 players maximum. We can have 42 without Cat B. So Moss should not affect how many we have to delist. If Barrett makes it to Cat B, that is one less delisting to worry about.

So we could have 38 on main list, 4 Cat A rookies and 2 Cat B rookies as a maximum.

We went in with a mentality of, we wont accept anything less than he's worth, then we just accepted whatever we could get.

It's quite ridiculous really.

Cripps explanation was basically that we pretty much saw this as our only opportunity to get into this draft and it's the best offer we got. Seems like between our desire to be in this draft and developments in Houstons situation (ie. Really wanted it done), we took the best deal available. I can only assume that Collingwood were well aware that they had the best offer and that they were threatening to walk away from the deal unless we took it yesterday, otherwise, why not give it another day?
The question I haven't heard put to Cripps is what precedent this sets for us. Also, is like to know why we ended up dealing with only North and Collingwood.

Agree. Is there a fundamental shift in broader societal expectations around behaviour where everything is becoming precious, soft and woke, and a large portion of the more traditional (older aged) supporter base are a generation that expects more? No one will be surprised to hear I am totally disconnected from the club and what it stands for. I actually despise it.
