uh no, the afl fined him. they just made him donate the fine instead of paying it to the afl.
Yes, that’s what I said. Thanks for the really unnecessary clarification though.

seems the good old "talk shit get hit" got a run here.

Nothing worse than a mate/teammate who cant hold handle the booze and turns into a w***er

haha yeah I did forget about that.

At least they weren't fighting each other. They also weren't in the team let alone arguably the teams most important player.

seriously, don’t bother replying to them . Nothing like checking facts .
Dee’s a rabble , an embarrassment to the league .

yeah righto, clearly more to it than that

also, is good behaviour considered to be "not getting in to a fight with one of your team mates"?...setting a pretty low bar there id say
what bad behaviour has he done in the last couple of years?

I'd say getting into good training habits and becoming the best fullback in the league and help breaking a 57 year premiership drought constitutes good behaviour.

"Richmond star Shai Bolton has been handed a $20,000 fine"

literally the first line in the article you posted.

but theres also this:
"The AFL has handed Richmond star Shai Bolton a $20,000 fine after an investigation overruled the Tigers"

Did you miss the bit about anti-social behaviour.

It’s pretty clear the AFL found that Toiges or Bolton were telling porkies about how gallant Bolton was.

But sure, Richmond are angels and discriminated against.

Perhaps if Richmond had actually done something the AFL wouldn’t have stepped in…

Congrats for making this about Toiges.

May hasn't come off at all well out of this. Sounds like he was being an absolute prick by all reports. Honestly, I'm glad Melksham stood up for his teammates even if it meant coming to blows with May and creating a public spectacle. Much prefer that and the accompanied media storm than everyone suffering in silence and having those kind of attitudes and ugly banter be normalised within the group.
You’d prefer violence as a response be normalised rather than mean words?

Good to see The AFL integrity department finally doing their job and start investigating this situation almost a week after the fact. Quality job, gents.
They’ve probably read enough sooky posts by losers on here and have decided to act on it. Didn’t realise someone’s actions would cause people who have nothing to do with it so much distress.

Go buy yourself a box of tissues, dry your eyes and get over it, it's only a couple of footballers, who cares.

So, you’re aware Stephen May is indigenous? Yes?
i wasnt, i googled it, not sure why it should matter though.

so what about what was reported yesterday, about Melksham sticking up for another player that may was taking pot shots at?
sounds like May is a person who shouldnt drink in company, there is no excuse for belittling people like that, its not funny, shit like that always has some truth to it in the eyes of the person using "its a joke" to cover a direct insult. nothing shits me more and i call it out everytime. my husband included!

ah you just answered my question. sound like Melksham is a decent guy. apart from smacking someone, but then its sounds like he deserved it! im old, i can say that!
