That is a bad blue!! Unbelievable in this day and age that the staff writer can't get the right photo. Knowing AFL probably don't have any photos of our full squad for anyone to draw from.
Got my hopes up there.
Honestly I reckon 1 in every 4 articles on the AFL site get revised within an hour. If it’s not the wrong photo, it’s an error in the headline or text.

Pretty poor effort Pyke regarding the staff he sacked. He is losing credibility fast with me.
30 years of service merits much better treatment than the manner in which they have been sacked.
I am beginning to think that mental preparing myself for another 4 years in the bottom 4 might have to be extended to preparing myself another 8 years of misery.
On the subject of Barrass, who is he kidding with his threats of quiting? The guy has made it very clear that in previous interviews that money is his main motivation and he wants maximum financial return and is prepared to go wherever he needs to to get it. If that is the case i doubt he is going to thrown in the towel on 800k a year to earn 80k in an average job.

Completely agree with your last paragraph. Seems a massive contradiction saying he's doing what's best for his family by taking the better offer from Hawthorn, but was thinking about quitting and throwing away 700k+ a year for the next few years if the trade didn't go through.
Can't agree with your first 3 paragraphs though. He's making changes. Everyone agreed changes were needed. Moving on long termers and is always going to be messy. It absolutely needed to be done though, the standards of the club had been allowed to drop through the floor.
It's a pretty thankless task that won't be able to be judged until much later down the track.
Must admit to being a bit surprised when I saw this.

Never thought of him as either articulate or a deep thinker which doesn’t bode well for any insightful commentary. But that’s based on his reticence to do interviews during his playing career so I could easily be wrong
