It's a great pod, albeit somewhat irregular. I always give it a listen when they bring an episode out.
I always enjoy their perspective, I think the fact that they both live outside the WA bubble always gives their discussions a fresh feel

Are you sure that wasn't Portland in Victoria?left field question
Anyone know if there is footage from any of these old practice games??
Didn't know we played the Dees in Portland USA
Pre-season 1991
West Coast lost first-up to St Kilda in Melbourne before recording some big scratch match wins. The Fosters Cup night series was played as a knockout competition during the pre-season as a precursor to the home-and-away season. So this photo was posted on the AFL Facebook. 2007 Draft, Ebert/Danger/Masto
F***ing hell, Dangerfield looks about 12

I think most were 17 when drafted back then. Pretty sure around 2015 was when the change in age cut off finally caught up and year 12s were turning 18 while still at school (in WA at least). He was still only 17 in that photo which is partly why he was a controversial choice by Adelaide at the time. Stayed in Geelong in 2008 whilst he finished studying and only played 2 games for Adelaide late in the season. Adelaide passed over Ebert who was the popular choice for supporters
And I don’t know why he was eligible for the draft whilst still only 17

The real question is probably why Dangerfield had an extra year of school compared to everyone else.

Pumping 76 games into Ebert only to have him bounce before turning 22 was pretty disappointing. He was also 17 when he debuted for us (17 years and 362 days according to AFL Tables)
WA was late to it but half the kids over east turn 18 while in year 12. So it was just the norm for him.I think most were 17 when drafted back then. Pretty sure around 2015 was when the change in age cut off finally caught up and year 12s were turning 18 while still at school (in WA at least).

I think it was just bad timing; he was dropped for finals just as Port were at their lowest, making their call to arms to save the club.Ebert was always gonna end up at Port.
Should've just bypassed him

We can watch TK do it now insteadDo not miss the sight of Ebert streaming forward only to spray it out on the full.
