Scrappy but the game is starting to loosen up a little now. Classic low standard preseason game.

Stoked to see LRT looking fit..missed him last yr. Has played Ruck, KP defender and loose man also. BOG so far.

Sydney is playing with a lot more intensity around the stoppages. Our senior players need to get into the game more if we want to win, they are on cruise control.

Some of younger guys like Morton, Tuck and Muston are donig OK, hardly seen Hodge, Mitchell and Crawford....

Younger guys seem more interested.

Yeah Roos has gone in one KP Fwd short of a team i reckon.

So many opportunities set up by the kids in the middle but noone to kick to.

Roos MAY switch OKeefe into a KP role up fwd but right now he seems content just to get some run in their legs.

Perhaps playing a mid tier guy like Ted Richards as a KP FWD might have been a better balance but i dont care...just great to have some non Canberra league time for the guys trying to force their way in.

The same happened in our game against Port. The kids had some intensity about them but the senior players looked almost bored. The NAB cup has really lost all respect over the last few years.

Agreed, it is a shit ground. Not the surface or anything but every time we play there, win or lose, we play shit, as does the other team.
Buddy is having a quiet afternoon so far.

I get the impression the hawks are taking a fairly cautious approach to this match which is fair enough. Very impressed with some of our young talent none the less. O'Dwyer and Bird have been very good.

Mattner looks to be slotting in fairly well.

On the down side..... McVeigh and Bevan still making some very basic mistakes.
