Rotham, Edwards, West, Xon, and Clarke will never be good enough, Jamieson doesn't look like it either. Gaff should retire while he still has a modicum of dignity.
Jones was going ok when he got injured.
Sheed was good, Kelly kept trying but he gets no help around the ball which makes it tough.
Foley wasn't shocking. Long did a couple of nice things as he does.

Keeping some old blokes around to guide the youngsters isn't much of a strategy when all the old blokes are sitting in the stands.
Much as it is tempting to join the sack everyone crowd I don't think that will achieve much at this stage.

Where is GoEagles? We need a shinning light in this bitter darkness.

CAP space, chief. It falls into the cap. All the outside $$$ in the world won’t protect you.
"The League announced the soft cap will increase by $500,000 in 2023 and $250,000 a year later, meaning it will kick in at $7.2 million in 2024."

Seems like the perfect time to do it actually.

SOFT CAP chief
… I’m not sure what you’re trying to get across here, champion?

We breach it and it’s multiplied or we sack people to cover it.

We’re an AFL supported club so Simpson would be due a max $500,000 payout I believe.

What’s the better outcome?

Seriously - I’m perfectly happy to see him go, but at the expense of $500k of staff? Not so much

Sheed was good. The time off appears to have been good for him.
I saw him immediately behind Newcombe in a centre bounce in the 2nd quarter and he literally stopped, just stopped still and watched him waltz away uncontested from a centre bounce... I finding it difficult to get past that.
He was our best but I reckon I won't give him a vote because of that. Problem is, from what I can tell, he wasn't dragged and therein lies one of the many issues this club has.

+ve- gonna save myself the monthly kayo fee after that.

No words at how low the club has sunk. I know we're paying for 5-6 years of contending and a flag, but wow. You do look at the decisions (not letting gaff go, holding out with brander in the Kelly deal, big money contracts for players who've since struggled to get on the park etc) and we've really been on the bad end of most of them.

Looking at this it will be the better part of a decade before we are playing finals again. The club off field, something is completely rotten, I'm not sure any of us can point to what it is but issues are more than injuries.

On field it's going to be pain. The older guys won't be there, the kids are mostly crap unfortunately, and stuck in the middle we have Allen wondering what he is doing with his career.
we moved in with Perth at lathlain and the cancer is growing.

Actually it's worse. AFL doesn't own the licence, so WCE would need to pay him out the full 2.5 years and not the 6 month clause like all the other clubs, bar Freo, get.
