not keen on lynch at CHF, rather FF with brown CHF and kennedy FP, but happy to see ebert in forward line
I think Lynch at CHF is a great move.

Have a think about where he gets most of his goals from, usually from around 50 meters out, even better if he is running or snapping them. Lynch having a set shot inside 40 really doesn't seem to come off that well.

He is also great at goal assists (first in our team, sixth in the league apparently!). He runs and chases well, takes a strong mark. Great idea.

You could still have Hansen as the third tall who runs up the ground to create the link from the backline and Lynch to stay 50-60 out. Put one of Kennedy/Seaby/Cox/Hunter/Staker in the goal square. (Geez we are well off for talls now.)

If Brown can defend, he is one up on Hunter so give him a go!

Ah i struggle to find the west here, hence out of the loop. thanks for the confirmation. should be a damaging duo.

I like the sound of these. Heaps of people are saying Brown should play up forward but i disagree. I think he could be an awesome centre half back. Also Kennedy plays best at full forward.

I personally think Lynch is a much better option at CHF than FF. He'll have the pressure of kicking goals as much off him and will also be free to move into the middle when needed as he can actually be quite effective there. I think it was the '06 season where his best rated game for the season he racked up 20+ possessions playing through the middle and did it really well. He's very mobile, very big and is great at ground level.

If you're talking about Lynch playing a 'low' CHF (ie/ floating between FF and CHF, Pav style) then that makes sense. I don't think he'll play in the traditional CHF position. Hansen will then, presumably, play a 'high' CHF position.

Hansen will be in the best 22, mark my words. People too easily forget how crucial he is to our structure, as reflected in our winning % with him in the team.

That makes sense to me. Hansen leads well up the ground to create an avenue to goal from the centre, Lynch stays around the 50 metre line to give a target and Kennedy or Chad Jones or someone operates from the square with just a crumber (le Cras, Armstrong, Wirrapanda etc) skirting around him !

I've been asking for Lynch to play CHF for a while, definately kicks more goals from long range and from the centre can launch a bomb to Kennedy in the goals square.

I'd play him starting say 30-35 m from goal leading out to 50-70m and have Hansen start at the 60m mark leading down the wings....as he does.

Ebert straight in is not surprising, he has the height and is already 85kg I recall and no OP issues. HFF for Ebert.

Masten is smaller, lighter and has OP issues so I'd nurse him through the first half of the year, if the OP is OK and form in WAFL good slot him in about round 8 or 9 before the mid season break when alot of players seem to start to struggle with niggles.

Brown at CHB could be our next Jakovich:eek:

Will be stoked if they take those changes..

Lynch is better suited to CHF, he has a big engine, markes out in front well, can get big numbers of possies and long kicks into the forward line will pressure defenders.

Brown at CHB will be awesome Hunter can float between forward and back, where we need him.

Sounds like a Dream Team winner there...

Not to mention having him patrol HF he'll be like a huge bridge troll - you'll have to pay the toll to pass his bridge ;)

Despite the rumours, you would expect that Graham would be given the first crack at CHB than Brown.

But i am keen to see Brown play a couple of games at CHB. He'll be a gun no matter where he plays!

Finally Lynch is at CHF!

Good to hear that Ebert is slotting in nicely. I still cant believe we got him at 13. We have a superstar on our hands.
