It really does.

It severely limits his flexibility and upside.

He could be an elite player if he was taller. Alas

He has an elite case of small syndrome though, so I guess there is that
In life, you should focus on what you can control and enhancing the skills and attributes you have and not waste time bemoaning the things you don’t.

This is what Nick Watson does, he doesn’t worry about what he can’t control or people’s perceptions of him, which is why he’s one of the most exciting young players in the game and you’re just someone who posts mean things about him on football forum.

Why on earth is there a Dane Rampe suspension thread on our board?
Why are we creating threads about Sydney players?
Absolutely ridiculous.

Lachie Neale has won 2 Brownlow medals. If he wins a third one tonight, where does that put him in terms of assessing him/ranking him for midfielders/players in modern footy or at least from 2000 onwards?

I mean yes he is a very very good player but I wouldn't have him ahead of Ablett Jnr, Martin, Judd, Dangerfield, Franklin.

Interested in your thoughts..

Personally, I think he's arguably one of the best midfielders of the modern era. But that's just my opinion.

Who really amazes me is Nick Daicos. It would be remarkable to win the Rising Star in 2022 and then a Brownlow two years later.

Feels a bit like Hawthorn's 3-peat - right player at a time where there's been little stand out competition for the prize (perhaps even in his own team?).

I think what works for him is he's always communicating with the umpires - certainly makes him memorable to them. Sublte, but I bet it has an effect.

Neale is a great player but I think it discredits the brownlow a little.

I think the Brownlow is already discredited by the fact that more than 50% of the players that take the field are automatically disqualified from consideration because they don't play in the midfield.

It's not a Best & Fairest player award; it's a Best & Fairest Midfielder award.

I don’t like the little sook and I rarely put too much stock in the Brownlow these days due to Judd and Cooney wins

He’s a good player though but can’t stand him at all
