We lost one of the best half backs of all time - did you expect our backline to be stronger? Midfield yes possibly, although Caddy was hardly in there. Depth has plummeted.

The other clubs will nod, smile politely, shake our hands, and tell us how much they admire us (which is seemingly what some on here seem to crave more than onfield success). Once we've left the room they'll be rolling on the floor laughing at how gullible and stupid we are during the trading period.

Jesus. Relax. Was simply using it in comparison to how our club seems to have fared against other clubs. Unless you'd like to rate every clubs effort this past fortnight and report back then I'll have to use this assessment as a reference. My point is, whilst it's been a disappointing trade period, I don't think it will hurt our best 22 too much and I trust the club to make the right decisions.
Still deals been finalized.
Great.. so there goes some of the hope of Carlton finishing bottom 2

Not good news if the Gibbs deal didn't get done considering he is one of their best players and we want them to finish near the bottom next year for their 2nd round pick. Geez Carlton are pricks to deal with.

Clearly the trade period didn't go to plan, but calls for Wells to be sacked are completely ludicrous.
This trade period was a whole club effort, including the senior coach, Stephen Hocking, Cook and Wells.
There has been a culture of quick fixes and I think this week is the result of that culture, not just bad deal making by Wells.
Wells principle job is the draft, and as recently as last year he found Sam Menegola with a late pick. He needs a strong draft, but his job is not in doubt.
