Or Taylor plays forward
Gives us a chf
Yep exactly what I suggested a few days back, think he will be a decent CHF with his nice hands.

That is my feeling as well, he most likely stays but aren't against moving him on if the return is worth it.Sounds to me we'll only trade Motlop if a deal to good to refuse comes along which is unlikely.
My 2 cents.Wells interview:
- "Possible" we'll trade up to get back into the first round - Awesome.
- Expects Motlop will play at Geelong in 2017 - Hope this is the case.
- Hoping to use plenty of picks in the draft - Again, Awesome.
- Would like to help the backline, find more run - PRIORITY!
- We have an interest in Deledio - meh
- Daniel Wells will not be playing at Geelong - Praise the lord.
- Plan is for Lonergan to play on next year - Good news
- Menzel contract to be announced soon - Good news
- Expecting to hear from Kersten & Freo soon (sounds gone IMO) - Hope he stays.
- Vardy is welcome to stay at Geelong but is exploring his option - 50/50 IF he can get his body and mind right he could be handy at CHF
- Would you trade Motlop? "Depends on the trade offer" "Not many players on any list you wouldn't trade" - Please don't.
- No comment on Bartel - Go around again Jimmy!!!!

If you separate the to tall issue which isn't Toms fault (that's a selection issue) from Tom going on it doesn't look so bad he hasn't dropped off significantly and still plays huge game time.If we use him wisely he can be contribute in 2017, a dozen cherry picked games if form is good would be ideal.Looks like another year of "too tall backline" whinges with Lonergan playing on. Really strange move.
Maybe he is transitioned out... playing plenty of VFL?
Was confident kersto would stay right up until I heard Hammer was ooc as well and liking at going home.I wonder if Kerstos decision will be impacted by Hamling... if his best mate goes back home to WA that may change his thinking?
I would also very much like to see Mackie play plenty of VFL next season... and Bews/Ruggles play most games... and a Cunico start to press his case as wellBut... transitioned in will be Gardner..another tall .. Which to me is fine.
Mackie at his height and speed is what needs to be looked at.
I'm more than happy to retain Motlop (in fact I'll be really disappointed if we don't), and our only movement to be trading fringe players like Kersten and Vardy and potentially bundling up two picks in the 30s for something in the 20s to a club that needs points for academy picks.
I'm not sure what the obsession with the first round is. If our first pick ends up between 25-40 we should still expect to land a good player. In the last three years alone players taken in this region include Josh Dunkley, Jack Steele, Touk Miller, Zach Merrett, Rory Lobb and Lewis Taylor.
The thing is with Kersto is that him leaving doesn't overly make our forward line worse either... as he has never consistently performed at a high level.. and he has been given plenty of chances. Was confident kersto would stay right up until I heard Hammer was ooc as well and liking at going home.
They are all over each others social media and are good mates. I'd say it's a done deal sadly
With Clark, Vardy, Menzel, McCarthy, Gregson, Bartel all question marks in one way or another, him leaving does not make our f50 better one bit IMO.

Yeah, I get that. It's whether they can separate them that's my doubt. If you separate the to tall issue which isn't Toms fault (that's a selection issue) from Tom going on it doesn't look so bad he hasn't dropped off significantly and still plays huge game time.If we use him wisely he can be contribute in 2017, a dozen cherry picked games if form is good would be ideal.

He is that line ball player that could turn into a really good player or who could fade away to a never was..
I would also very much like to see Mackie play plenty of VFL next season... and Bews/Ruggles play most games... and a Cunico start to press his case as well
Well if he goes to Freo and under Ross Lyon you won't have to worry about seeing it matey.I will take no joy of seeing him play that lead up forward role at Freo with fast ball movement and good delivery kicking 45 a year.
No joy at all. Meanwhile, Hawkins is still double teamed with the pill landing on his head.

I have found Kane Cornes to be a breath of fresh air media wise the 2nd half of this year... really impressive so farKane Cornes with some sense, he would not do Motlop for Deledio because it is not in Geelongs best interest given age and talent etc.
TIME TO GET THE LUBE OUT WE ALL KNOW HOW WE HANDLE THE TRAD EPERIOD

Good work everyone. I'm liking the sounds of all of that.
Still doesn't help our main issue; slow ball movement out of defence. Mackie, Lonners.... One of those two needs to move on I'd think.
