Do you believe at the level he is as of now he is starting midfield premiership standard? I don't.
Not as the number 1, no.

But is definitely talented enough to be in the best 22 of a premiership team.

Is he better than say, Toby Mclean from the Bulldogs? Or Shannon Byrnes?

I agree he could have a spot on a flank or coming off a bench as a rotating support for the star midfield mix, but he isn't going to be the star A grade impact midfielder that lifts a club to another level like a lot on here hoped for over the years including myself.

He might come good who knows, but he definitely hasn't showed enough to suggest that.

Out of Duncan caddy Blicavs Guthrie he has shown the least caddy.

Give it away mate, you are embarrassing yourself now.

I don't quite agree with that. We could absolutely win a flag with Caddy in our midfield setup. But we could also easily win one without him and a different style of player in the team too.
Have to agree with this, I liked Cads. There was a lack of definable position for him in the last 1/2 of the season and he certainly didn't play to his best ability but and that's a big but (t ;)), I think we have him covered in the midfield.

Like I just posted, a lot of rose coloured glasses were being worn about caddy, myself included in that camp as to his potential to live up and become a great player.

I would have thought Cowan had graduated from the list clogger category. At least he has in my book.
Not if we're serious about winning premierships.

What about the fact he had premature children and needed to be with them. I havent heard much about thurlow either. Is he being shafted. Unlikely. Too many conclusions.
#keep Mitch pitch
Keeping Clark is a must in my opinion. It'd be negligent not to given our tall forward deficiencies.

A lot saying Alex witherden a good chance at this pick.

I like the description of him, also missed this year with a leg injury, reckon he could have been much higher otherwise?

Elite kick is s big tick, great reading of the play and finds the ball.

Sounds Enright like.

Anyone else a big fan in here? I am only judging based on readings. Anyone else know more? Pure_ownage? Anyone have good draft knowledge of this player? Country boy as well which works wel
Haven't seen Witherden play much, but the only downfall I'm hearing about him is that he may be a little one-pace. Other than that, he is a good user, finds the pill, reads the play, good versatile size too at 186cm.

Forget Witherden, he'll likely to be gone before our pick and he's not what we need in 3 or 4 years time.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying.

There's that mention of 'unders' again... Would you give up a first round pick solely for Josh Caddy right here right now? People got narky giving up pick 15? for Henderson and he's a much better, much more important player. Ill say again too, at pick 24 there will be much better players than Josh Caddy around to draft.

How do you rate Zach Tuohy compared to Caddy? Because if you look at current ladder spots we're only going to slip around 5-8 spots in the draft to have picked him up.

Geelong could easily, easily go and draft a ready made replacement for Caddy if need be from the VFL, SANFL, WAFL etc with a pick in the 60's or 70's if they are worried about depth in that area. In fact they did that last year with Menegola.
I'm hoping Stewart is available with our picks in the 60s/70s.... He would be great depth for our defence, right age profile, good size at 190cm, and very competitive.

I think Tuohy will give us more pace and elite kicking in the back-half, which we desperately need, and he will give us more over-lapping run, which was missing in so many games. So if we had to sacrifice Caddy for that type of player, then I think it will do better for team balance.

I was obviously watching a different game.

Depends how you judge it, on one hand he was one the few on our team that was moving at the tempo of the game but on the other hand his poor disposal ended up hurting us more than Sydney.

A large reason why we lost is that it took most of our team until the 3rd quarter to start playing to the right intensity. Had the rest of the team been as fired up as him he would have found it easier to find a target.

It was kind of like we had ten guys playing at 2/10 and he was at 4/10
