I'm still not sure how that works. Are we planning to increase salaries of many players for next Year?

The way I interpreted his comments were that it will allow us to chase a player or two from other clubs that perhaps better suit our needs. But yes, it will also allow us to re-contract our own players who might be asking for more money aswell.

Do you think Bartel played to an irreplaceable level?? There were talks all year questioning his position in the side. Cockatoo will easily go past him in our 22 on output and impact. Bartel was very average at times this year and just held his spot, that contribution won't be an issue to replace.

Enright is the only one who will leave a hole, and we have Thurlow coming straight in to replace him. We all know Thurlow will be a star, just a matter of it clicking this year so soon off a knee reco or whether it takes another year or two. We also have tuoey directly coming in. So our backline shouldn't be in too much strive.

Remember... Our forward line and midfield has absolutely no one 30 or over. We have plenty of improvement to come from our midfield and forward half. McCarthy Menzel Motlop( get his fat ass in shape) menegola Scott Selwood Joel Selwood can also get better and join Patrick on that level ( has zero pre season in 16).

The only line we have to make sure holds is the defense, the rest are in no trouble and will only get better

We're good at doing things first. Just not often.

My claim was that they could afford to throw this draft more than Geelong could because they've brought in more top-line talent over the last few years, and I proved that point. They have far more players under 23 years old who were taken in the top end of the draft than Geelong does. Whether they've played more games or not isn't of relevance to my point. You would hope that Geelong's young players had played more games given Geelong has been turning its list over while the Hawks have been winning flags.
