Adelaide believes Essendon star Mason Redman is “seriously considering” the club’s free agency bid on him to move back to his native South Australia, reports The Herald Sun’s Jon Ralph.

The out-of-contract Bomber is due for a hefty pay rise amid his sensational form in recent seasons, with the report stating the restricted free agent could earn as much as $750,000-$800,000 a season on his next deal.

The Bombers reportedly remain confident that Redman will re-sign with the club despite not yet tabling him an extension, with the defender ensuring earlier this month saying he was happy with its direction.

FMD the Melbourne journos are sucking hard on the West Lakes Cool Aid aren't they.

And no surprises for guessing who David King thinks is the destination club for Redman...

“I just look at the plan – and this is where it needs to be full-club – and there’s a lot of noise about Mason Redman. I think if they can get a free agent like Mason Redman into the club, they go bang,” he said.

If Brisbane and wb HADN'T BE COMPLETELY INEPT IN FRONT OF GOAL WE WOULDN'T EVEN BE HAVING THIS DISCUSSION AS THE GAMES WOULD HAVE BEEN BLOW OUTS EARLY ON.
Nah, I don't buy that. They got smashed in the Dogs game regardless, and yes they conceded more scoring shots in the Lions game, but a) were very competitive, and b) still managed to win - against a top 2 side no less.

I'm not convinced you can extrapolate their improvement this year to next year (i.e. 2022 Sydney, 2020 St Kilda) but they're a dangerous team this year for sure.

Probably building off my previous post about not extrapolating development of the crows - but getting in Redman is great, but most probably offset by the loss of Doedee and approaching retirement of Smith.

Lol your hatred for the croms is admirable but it's clouding your judgement. Their ladder position reflects where they're at currently but there's been some impressive flashes.
Pedlar, Soligo and Murray look like going from being nobodies to solid AFL players. Still a lot of reliance on ted and laird though

Luke Parker’s suspension has been upheld. He’ll miss round 13 against St Kilda.

SYDNEY defender Paddy McCartin has been ruled out for the rest of the season with the 27-year-old still experiencing concussion symptoms almost eight weeks after copping a blow to the head at the SCG.
Should be ruled out for life as unfortunate as it is.

The four First Nations families are destined for the human rights commission after the AFL’s independent investigation into the Hawthorn racism saga was wound up on Tuesday.
The families have agreed there will be no adverse finding against the AFL and Alastair Clarkson, Chris Fagan and Jason Burt.
The AFL has called a last-minute late-night press conference as its independent investigation into the Hawthorn racism scandal hits crisis point.
League boss Gillon McLachlan is set to front media at 7.45pm tonight, with the press conference only called at 7.04pm.

Apparently Troy Chaplin was named as a potential suitor for the Richmond vacancy on SEN this morning.

I hope they actually go through with that and appoint, just for the laughs.

If I had to pick between Hinkley and Chaplin as coach, I'm keeping Kenny. Would hate to have to make that choice.

So the families involved have agreed the AFL will not find Clarkson/Fagan/Burt guilty?

They are not satisfied with that outcome?

The said families have esculated the matter to the human rights commission?

Funny how every time the AFL investigates itself everything is fine.

It’s still all quite strange the way it’s reported that the family said there will be no adverse findings against Clarko Fages etc.
Wasn’t that the whole point of the investigation, the complaints from the families against Fagan, Clarko etc?
And they are now going to the Human Rights Commission? Why?
Weird, something stinks about how the AFL have handled this.

I hate Rugby League with a passion, but how insecure is the AFL to be putting the mid season draft at same time as SOO at AO.

Haven’t they done similar stupidity during the soccer World Cup?
