Interesting but my god the losses to Gold Coast (2011) and then GWS (2012 were each hideous.
2011 was Gold Coast's 1st year playing proper AFL games. We were their 1st win and it was by less than a goal after Westhoff shanked an easy set shot in the dying moments of the game. They lost by about 100 points the week before and the week after.
2012 was GWS's 1st year playing proper AFL games. We were the 2nd of their only 2 wins that year. Chad Cornes and Dean Brogan were playing for them. Matthew Primus resigned as coach there at GIANTS Stadium. I was there and standing with the Cheer Squad and this cheeky little GWS player came up a few times and gave it to the Port supporters in a way you couldn't do now and probably couldn't then. It was Toby Greene. Must say I've always been fond of him after that.

I expect someone will/has replied to that, pointing out that Port Power hold the unique honour of being the first team to lose to Gold Coast and GWS, albeit in different years.
Gold Coast were 1st to lose to GWS. Some irony there? Plays Alanis Morissette song to check.

Carlton President and disgraced former PwC Boss Luke Sayers is having something of a winter of discontent, with his old company PwC knee-deep in muck and the football club over which he presides, Carlton, struggling through a losing season that had promised so much and is pushing the patience of its long-suffering fans past breaking point.

But before we feel too sorry for the impeccably connected corporate and government fixer, consider this: Sayers will soon leave his troubles behind, or so he hopes, with a long-planned, extended European holiday.

Just as the PwC scandal is starting to heat up, Sayers is ready to lock up his mansion in Hawthorn and jet off with his wife Cate to Italy.

It's Bon Voyage to another Caaarlton board member too...

FREMANTLE ruckman Sean Darcy is expected to miss at least one match after the Dockers confirmed the important big man had suffered a "moderate grade" hamstring strain in Saturday's win against Melbourne. Darcy injured his hamstring during the second quarter at the MCG, with the Dockers not yet prepared to put a timeline on his recovery ahead of their bye in round 12. The 24-year-old is expected to be sidelined for the round 13 clash against Richmond at Optus Stadium in 12 days, however, before making a push to face Greater Western Sydney in round 14.

It's got a bit of a John Elliot stench to it - without the bags of cash of course. Proof that all the money and corporate connections in the world is no guarantee of success.

Now there was an operator. I reckon his wife found he'd sold the house they were still living in after it came up on the Footy Show.

He's going to win by a landslide if he continues on.

Only started polling when moved to fulltime mid in round 4. Think he's polled in every game since.
So hinkley cost him and probably boak a brownlow because of his garbage penchant for half forward roles for mids.

Adelaide Crows star Rory Laird has been suspended by the MRO for rough conduct against Lion Lachie Neale at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

Thebarton residents will stage a Tuesday protest at Parliament House against the Crows’ planned AFL and AFLW move to Kings Reserve at Thebarton.
Infrastructure Minister Tom Koutsantonis will be given a petition signed by around 5500 residents who want changes to the current plan, to save trees and open space.

Spokeswoman for the 5031 Action Group of residents, Emma Dawes, said the purpose of the protest on Tuesday was to “draw scrutiny regarding the responsible use of government money” to locate the Crows in their area.

“Our petition urges the Government not to provide public funding to the Adelaide Football Club to develop the Thebarton Oval/Kings Reserve Precinct unless there is commitment from the AFC to adopt an alternate design and preserve almost all of the 150 mature trees on Kings Reserve,” she said.
And we haven't even heard from the Barton park doggers yet.

The crows are rubbish away from their adoring fans. I haven’t once got sucked into the hype. GC played the Darwin conditions brilliantly last week, they will knock the crows off. I just don’t see them as a threat, with freo/Geelong/Sydney outside the 8 and likely to push hard for a spot in the 8 I think the crows are going to struggle to make the 8.

Did I hear SEN say they could make top 4?🤣

How come any Adelaide win at home is touted in the news as their ‘best win’…. Yet a week earlier they played like rubbish.

…. Entitled.
They are all up and about today. If Brisbane kicked for goal better it would have been a different story. Happy for them to drink their own bath water again this week, whilst port keeps going about their own business.

They’ve got North and WC x 2 so lock in three more wins.

Double up games with GC will be telling for them.

Coll (away), Bris (away), Melb (away) likely all losses.

Then it’s down to games with ESS, GWS, Syd and Port.

They’re right on the bubble with a host of teams fighting for a spot at 12-13 wins.
