Negatives: endless Eagles fans whining about Witherden. Good one on one defender, 21 disposals, all effective, 4 tackles, 3 score involvements.

Yeah a couple of poor defensive efforts but the inside 50s were 37-68, that defensive line got hammered!
His disposal was poor tonight, but he's been better than most of the squad for the rest of the year. Can think of 10 players who should be dropped before him.

I can recall one kick that went off the side of the boot but still went to an eagles player.

But... 100% effective disposals... uhh... as in.... 100% so.... not poor

Spirited performance as we pushed the Tigers out of the 8. Darling came our of retirement, as sadly JK needs to move into retirement rather than kill his legacy. I suspect he is now just there for the club. The W's - Waterman and Witherden sacrificed their own game and kept their opponents to a few goals each.

Despite our best intentions we must find a ruckman not named Williams - quickly. They also need to be footballers.

While many deplore the recruiting of HBF's we need one or two good ones.

Theis is, in the words of Monty P, bugger all in the WAFL. We may as well give the left over kids a run for experience.

For a moment I was worried about our percentage but it all fell into place.

The MSD is exciting - I can see how we can open up a few more spots.

Negatives -

  • Team too f*cking tall. One of the reasons why we gassed out in the later stages.
  • Gov back injury.
  • Waterman just hardly providing anything and making the team too tall plus going after the same ball as JK or Doctors Orders Darling.
  • Cannot seem to defend the oppo transitions and are too slow which leads to easy goals.
  • WTF was Clark and West not attending much centre bounces. Clark and West are NOT wingman or flankers they're inside mids.
  • Poor structure and skills.
  • Nelson lacking class and one of the offenders of coach killers.
  • Too unaccountable defensively again.
  • Team just looks unfit although not helped by an overly tall side.
  • Barrass just looks too worried about his opponent rather than going after the ball. Although not helped by poor pressure upfield and getting hammered all the time.
  • Winder hardly did anything although I would back him in.
  • SPS too fumbly at times and looking lost. Needs to be in the middle not on the flanks.
  • Williams and Jamieson made Tim English look like Dean Cox. He gave them first use at will and we were always on the backfoot from the get go.

Meh =

= Shuey, Redden all decent but lacked the impact.
= JK providing a contest but wtf was that 100m penalty. At least he made it up afterwards but stil. Not helped that Waterman went after the same ball as him.
= Jones showed intent in taking the game on but lacks consistency with his attacking kicks.
= Witherden used the ball nicely and didn't waste it, but was poor defensively.
= H.Edwards starting to develop well into that third tall we need.
= Gaff worked hard but his disposals are letting him down at times plus they stop momentum.

Positives +

  • Doctors Orders Darling still worked hard and kicked four goals. Showed why the Doggies needed a gun KPD.
  • Kelly busted his ass off when others didn't give a shit one of his best games. Was our best.
  • Hough looking like he belongs at that level. Future without Bunga is bright.
  • Some positive attacks on the corridor.
  • #1 pick in the MSD is secured unless Norf lose by 146 points.

Final Thoughts.

Well the good news is we're getting the number one pick in the MSD. Hopefully we get Cully then Florenca with our picks. Simmo maybe lucky but he's too stubborn to change his tactics which have been well and truly figured out to the point where it's easy to play against us. If you were playing AFL Evolution video game then playing against us is like playing on easy difficulty.

Land of the giants needs to f*ck right off we're not contending lets see what a smaller side can do.

As 100 point loses go, it didn't feel as bad as the result is.

Some good ball movement, going through the middle, some attempts to run.....

Gaff is really expendable though. Play anyone in his spot. Just try something different, anything.
Quite a lot of our blow outs have felt like that. We play alright early then we blink and the opposition has piled on 7 goals in 5 minutes. We just can’t stop momentum when it’s against us and don’t take advantage on the scoreboard of the moments we’re in the game (a lot of silly individual skill errors). Gets to a 30 point margin and the heads all drop because we know we don’t have the fitness to get back into it

12 of his disposals were kickouts after a bulldog point.

+ Kelly, Darling, Hough, thought Jamieson showed some promise in first half.

+ We started out with good intent and aggression, just too unfit to sustain, and the dogs swatted us away like an annoying blowfly in the 2nd half.

- West, Clark not being played in the centre. Where's the focus on youth Simmo?

- Umpring was very inconsistent. Not that it had any bearing on the result, but 4 goals to WB in the first half due to ridiculous umpire decisions felt like being kicked when we're already down.

- Shuey, Cripps, JK, Waterman, Nelson, Gaff, B. Williams, Witherden, Rotham, Redden are no longer, or will never be, up to it. Thanks for everything guys but your time is up the side isn't going anywhere while your around.

- Simmo looked shellshocked. Don't like seeing anybody looking like that, even though he's coached us into being the worst side in 120 years of VFL/AFL history. Think he needs to go for his own well-being.

#1MSD pick
Negatives
Too many to mention but I will try.
Team defence completely absent.
So many delisting candidates.
Beyond cooked.
Sad way for Kennedy and a few others to end their careers.

He is a slow , shit defender who is an absolute momentum killer .

The way he glitches on the mark until the ump tells him to move it on is infuriating.
He routinely misses easy short kicks and never plays on quickly allowing the opposition to set up their zone to shut any sort of quick rebound we could of had .

The worst part is he gets so much of the ball .

Brisbane knew what they were doing getting rid of him under contract. They even paid part of his contract to not play for them

Delist

I don't understan some positional choices. Clark was drafted as an inside midfielder. After working on that part of his game, after missing the draft at age 18. But he doesn't get any time in the square. He wouldn't have been the difference between a win or loss. But it's a long time pattern at WCE. Young mids don't get exposure. Even worse when Sheed comes back. Why bother drafting new inside mids.

I’m pretty sure that at age 24 Clark was drafted as insurance, with no expectations he was going to see much AFL time. He wasn’t drafted as a priority inside mid.

Mate, he’s weak as piss.
He gets those disposals because he’s our allocated kicker.

Those stats are good if he was a HFF but he’s a defender and a liability when it comes to defending.

Soft as butter and slow as a wet week

Negative - everytime the dogs took a mark one of their players just waltzed up and took the handball receive slicing through our defence because we were stuck on the mark

Everytime we took a mark the bulldogs player retreat to outside 5m and stopped the run past because they could move sideways.

Can't believe 2 seasons later we still don't counter this .
