Hamill is a strange move for sure, he's actually started to look like an AFL player this season....disappointing.
Really strange selection as has played well since his return to the side & there was no need for another taller defender against the Eagles.

Assume Berry will be sub, but a good opportunity to rest another player.

Hamill was great in my opinion, would actually be better than Jones on the wing . McHenry better than Jones also at least he tries to create link up and take the game on. Jones is a player follower and bang it on yr boot guy

If Dowling comes in it should be as a mid. Debuting mids and making them play forward is a waste
Murphy doesn't play s true forward role. The notion of him being a pressure forward is a myth.

He is a stoppage mid. Starting position wing or HF then follows the pack.

"Schoenberg has come back from injury with his Achilles, has played a couple (SANFL games) now and he’s playing at a level worthy of AFL,” Nicks said.

Wouldn't have picked him unless it was forced. Yet laird has been playing s**t for numerous weeks.
It's not forced. They made four changes in response to two injuries.

Excuse Me Wow GIF by Mashable

McHenry dropped... Wowee...

I disagree, I think Dowling is more a balanced mid/accumulator than an inside bull and if anything is more effective outside the contest, he's one of those guys that can just find the football in bunches but is a pretty conservative user. If he could work on being more damaging with ball in hand I think there's definitely an AFL player there because he's already shown he can also be effective up forward with his aerial ability and scoreboard impact at U18's level. If we bring him in soon I would like to see him utilised on the wing by choice.

"Pretty conservative user", only room for your boy I suppose.

Or in the Murphy role of HF/extra stoppage mid who then pushes forward.

Hamill very stiff given his job on Hill and the continued slop dished up by Smith, but the club does give a free pass to senior players no matter how bad their form is.

McHenry finally dropped is a relief though, never select him again please.
