I would give Voss a go in that role as well. He will need to switch on though and not play his natural key forward game.

Much like the Logue role Jl, surprisedly, made v Melbourne.Voss to tag May would be fun to watch. I already don't expect many/any marks out of Voss so for that matchup to have no marks at all would be a massive win for Freo.
With Switta, Banna's and Freddie and to a lesser extent Walters all able to play up the ground I think we could do without Emmett. What we need if for some of them to stay in the forwardline to help compete at ground level and not all of them being up the ground time at the same if possible. Either that or our mids have to help out at ground level is50Couldn’t agree more. Voss is 195cm but plays as a medium/small forward. None of his 5 goals on the weekend came from contested marks, 2 on the lead, 2 ground balls and one where the opposition FB while kicking out drilled it to him 15m out. I wouldn’t be adverse to replacing Emmett with Voss but I don’t know what his tank is like to play more up the ground.

Reward Davies for what? I’ve watched every Peel game and his form has been average at best. That Jacob Blight guy for Peel, who happens to be the same height as Davies (196cm) and played well in the state game last weekend has been way better than Davies and was again today with 21 disposals, 9 marks vs Davies 13 and 4

I would like to see Voss come back in. Could develop into a Mihocek like player in our forward set up.
To get the best out of Treacy I think he benefits from short stints as backup ruck.
Similarly Jackson needs to have maximum involvement in the play. If not as No1 ruck, then playing a lot of midfield minutes as well as going forward at times. Probably different from the role envisaged preseason.
Traeger Park will be the 24th venue Freo have played a AFL game at.
Only 8 times have won a game at a Venue first time we played.

Footy gods may actually be on our side for one of the few times in our 30 years
Totally agree. Altho it would be a ballsy move.Amiss is devoid of confidence, looked deflated post game. Voss in for Amiss for a few weeks, let Amiss kick a bag of 5 or 6 for Peel before bringing him back.
Nowadays, players can be "managed" rather than droppedHonestly think Amiss could use a break, he has been beaten up week after week. A week in the WAFL to work on his kicking would be good for him (all young players should need this occasionally). His confidence has taken a beating and his output is way down. He's a professional and no player should be un-droppable if their form is down for several weeks.
I think Voss's form deserves a reward and having watch him at Peel on the weekend I think his attitude and output is something we need in the team.
The footy Gods other than the umpiring decision late against the Blues have been pretty good this year.
Got the Lions without Lachie first up.
Simpkin missed with concussion when we played North.
Weightman injured early and no Liberatore against the Dogs.
Richmond and Collingwood with about 6 of their best 22 inured.
Not saying that's the reason we didn't lose those games but it doesn't hurt.
Banfield is wing. Rather someone else play Emmett’s role and push Bailey up towards defence. With Switta, Banna's and Freddie and to a lesser extent Walters all able to play up the ground I think we could do without Emmett. Amiss had 7 shots on goal the week before kicking 2.5, Voss has played 3 games of AFL & kicked 2.7.Fyfe should be managed until our next home game.
Amiss needs to find confidence at Peel though which means being dropped.
I think Justin wants Jackson forward to give us the one forward over 200 cm. The question is, can Jackson, Amiss, Treacy and Voss be in the same forward line with good ground level people at their feet Or will Treacy, Amiss, Voss with those same ground level players be sufficient. We really liked having Lobb's big grabs up forward. (When he was on that is)Banfield is wing. Rather someone else play Emmett’s role and push Bailey up towards defence.
Feel like Sturt should come in for Emmett and stay deeper forward, and add Voss for JOM- but will never happen.
Voss, Amiss, Treacy with Sturt, Frederick and Walters/Switkowski would work.
what do you mean there is no one else?I agree. But for who?
He’s still involved more that scoop and delean are at peel
There’s just no one else

If I’m the opposition coach I know who I’d rather be trying to defend.

Ive seen every Peel game this year albeit online. In my opinion Daves has been outstanding for a young defender. His reading of the ball in the air in marking contests is brilliant.Agree 100%, from what I've seen Davies is a long way from AFL level.
If Cox is playing AFL and Draper and McDonald are at Peel Davies is battling to stay in Peel's best 22.
Up until recently it was said he may go number 1. His almost lone good performance in the state match pushed him up even more.I just looked him up. He is 23 years old too.
Would he be a chance to get on an AFL List? I would be shocked if he is chosen as a mid season draft pick
Peel have the best defence in the WAFL and its built around Hugh as the focal point, there have been some calls I strongly disagree with on his performance this yearIve seen every Peel game this year albeit online.
