someone needs to tell Nicksy that the season is now into round 16.

WE need to be trying NEW people WHO ARE PLAYING GOOD SANFL FOOTBALL NOW!!!

NOT IN ROUND 20 or later

We do this every damn year. We finally get some kids in the side right near the end of the season, they look good in the 2-3 matches left for them to play in... and then by the time the next season starts, we've forgotten about that end-of-season cameo and they go back to square one.

It's extremely frustrating as a supporter. I can't even imagine how frustrating it is as a young player.

Nank not featuring for the first 3 weeks says hello!

Yep, classic example.

2023 - Keane finally selected to play the final five rounds, is not selected for round 1 2024.
2022 - Worrell finally selected to play the final four rounds, then doesn't feature until round 11 in 2023.
2021 - Cook finally selected to play the final three rounds, is not selected for round 1 2022.

And even for players who are then subsequently selected in round 1 the next year:

2021 - Murray, after a stuttering start where he was an unused sub three times in his first seven matches, finally gets a block of six games over seven weeks near the end of the season. Plays the first two games of 2022, then dropped for seven weeks.
2019 - Fogarty finally selected to play the final four rounds, plays the first three games of 2020, then dropped for six weeks.

Although I believe Mr Nicks will enter politics after his footballing career comes to an inevitable end, he seems to struggle to read the room…

Surely he has heard the crowds and must know he needs to make changes - why oh why does Murphy, Smith, Jones, and to an extent McHenry continue to be selected - it’s not a feel good ‘everyone gets a prize” competition we suck and we are losing.

2024 is a bad dream but at least use the rest of it to move forward and prepare for 2025.
