Ed has shown he can kick a goal in the past - that's a great strike off one step.
He's also a big body, provides defensive pressure and can provide a link up option around half forward with his workrate to get separation from opponents. Also one of our senior leaders. I can see why the MC are trying him at half forward where we are lacking a few of those things.
He's obviously new to the role and it shows, but i think he's got the attributes to be productive in that position, a bit like Josh Caddy at Richmond.
The other benefit is it gives our other young, talented mids more midfield game time and hopefully fast-track their development.
