Good days hunting for Peterson. Ablett and Selwood HTB. They wont take him on so willingly anymore...
For every goal there at least 3 behinds, not good enough Geelong. Time to step it up.
Meh, goalkicking schmoalkicking. Forward defensive pressure winning this game for the Hawks. Marks inside 50 also very important in this match (as always). Can't lament at missing kicks if they can't take marks inside 50 (see Roughead).

3/4 quarter thoughts.
Renouf tires, Geelong started to win some clean ball around the middle. Hawks running out of numbers around the contest.
McBurney stepped up in the 3rd quarter, with 11 frees, 9 to Geelong. Had a direct influence in 4-5 scoring shots. Hopefully he disappears again in the last as otherwise it's been a pretty well umpired game. (I'm used to the Geelong 'spill in the tackle' rule, and Rioli got away with one on the goal line in between four Geelong non-decisions).
Geelong really should win this from here, just hope we can manage to hold on for long enough. Those last few minutes have been costly each quarter - I think Geelong have kicked 7 goals to 1 in time-on so far.
Par score probably has Geelong slightly up. Bit of fire might distract us too.

It was a dog act mate, Johnson was away with the fairies beforehand. I bet you were furious after Lloyd's act last year too. You're sense of sportsmanship is as good as you're team.
You're right when you say it's not netball... clearly sniping concussed players is what attracts everyone to the game...
