Cripps, Weitering, Jones, Walsh and Murphy among the best. Fisher in first half then faded.

Delivery into forward 50 was really bad and does not go with playing so many tall forwards.

We seem to lack any overlap run. It’s kick to a man but generally kick to a contest. Not much running past the opposition with our ball movement.

As bad as the game was to watch, the Suns have now won 3 and lost the fourth by a point.

Not expecting us to beat the Bulldogs but certainly hope we give a good account of ourselves.
Simple run and overlap quick ball movement taking the game on is unfortunately non existent

Watch the press conference and try using your brain.

I love Bolts and he seems like a great bloke to have around a footy club, yet the buck stops with the coach, and the fact of the matter is we are looking at a 3rd wooden spoon in 5 years. St. Kilda would be embarrassed to 'win' 3 wooden spoons in 5 years!! Many coaches have done far more with worse players and thats a fact.

I don't think it's fair to say tonight was a coaching failure. I think we went in too tall, personally, but that's probably not why we lost. Purely and simply, the guys had chances to capitalise going forward but repeatedly stuffed things up. We could've been 6 goals up at three quarter time. GC made mistake after mistake when we got momentum. Instead of punishing them, we matched them. It was like the boys had never experienced time and space before. That's all mental. Training together, playing together and executing together.

There's plenty of talent in this team, very little cohesion. Bolton will be judged at the end of the year on how much this has grown. Supporters should realise that the slash and burn phase is over. A majority of the positions in our team are occupied by guys we think can take us to 17, with a number of promising youngsters forming part of what appears to be a strong VFL team. The list is not complete, but a strong skeleton has certainly been put in place. We are well within our rights to find a replacement for Bolton if our squad cannot portray a cohesive unit by the end of the year. There are 18 rounds to go. I wish him all the best.

So you're happy for anyone to take all his hard work away? If you like him as you stated, youd back him in to lead this young team

Bolton is the issue , long bombs to Gibbons !!
As someone who has supported Carlton for 50 years, I actually care that people who should know better made such a short sighted, delusional decision.

This was my concern when we hired Bolton.
Bolton's decided not to coach him. Smart move.

Yes HBF …. I'm calling you out.

If you cannot see the positive improvements in game plan

Then god help you.

Some of you are as embarrassing as our club. Bolton can’t kick the ball for our players, our skill execution is atrocious. If you honestly believe that a group of coaches who have been involved in football their whole lives wanted our midfield to kick to Gibbons as our main target going into our forward line then you are kidding yourselves.

They aren’t clever enough to allocate a free defender to drop off all game yet not work out something going the other way. It is 100% our players not following expectation and I believe a lot of it stems from our lazy forwards who do not move enough and create opportunities. It feels as if it’s not dumped on Harry’s head he is not interested, McGov is unfit and Charlie lacking touch.

How is sacking Bolton going to fix Plowman, Dow, O’Brien, Setterfield, both Curnows and even Cripps in the last quarter make fundamental errors in either decisions or skill execution?

I couldn’t give a flying , JB.
I think a good vent after a performance like that is perfectly reasonable.
It’s the perennial defenders here that think they must protect the club at all costs that make me laugh ...

Have no idea what the right balance may be, but pushing to extremes either way is somewhat ordinary.
We have those that want to rip into the club at every call and others that want to pump everything and anything beyond reasonable and honest numbers.

Here we are 0 and 4 and as we stand, we're the worst perfomed club in the league right now. No ifs or buts.....we're bloody ordinary, so as things stand we have to ask why as it makes for a common sense debate and citing fluff for the sake of an impregnated CFC vision, gives no validity to any argument.

Do we have enough tactical sense?

Our last few minutes hanging onto a lead were god awful, and will be picked apart on all the footy shows this week.

If Bolts is just a development coach, as all evidence is pointing to, time to get a real football coach

I feel you've just won a bet for posting on our board with a certain number of words that end in ation.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that after round 2, the general consensus on our board was that our season was all but over, we will finish bottom 4, Woosha can't coach and AMT needs to be dropped. Look what 2 wins and 200+ points can do. You have some very talented players, some of which are young and I suspect all are lacking in confidence. If you win your next two then you'll soon be having 100+ point games again.

One just one ficken game Bolton let them run through the middle and attack... the whole lot look scared to play positive football.
Its after its been in the middle the problems occur. The mifield disposal in general was awful today. Both in deciding where to kick and how hard to kick.

Today we watched a Demoralizing loss, and an extremely low standard game by both teams. We as the mighty old dark navy blues have forgotten how to win.....apart from Crippa, Weiters, Walsh and Jones the rest, if you cant kick the pig skin and hit a target or score a goal, mark the pig skin and constantly fumble back to the Magoos for skills lessons.....players have to be held accountable....Walls needs to sit down with Bolton and have the chat....

Today is a culmination of shit which has gone on for far too long.

Obviously no one is getting sacked yet, but I can’t see bolts going on beyond this season the way we are going.
