I am getting to the point of thinking there are better things to do than read or post in this place as it has become the last few days in particular.
When someone tells me I aren't a good supporter because I speak of respect for the club when there clearly is none shown whatsoever, by a growing number of dissenters. Then it gets close to the line. I am not asking questions it seems. Well I tell you what I question the motives of some that come here.

If "showing respect" means ignoring that our club is about to select a team with 5 key position forwards then count me out. I'm a fan of many things our club has done of late, but there's some very concerning things happening atm. These issues needed to be pointed out. They need to be discussed. And I feel like you're a poor supporter if you dont ask these questions.

Geez if Jack gets selected too thats 6 forwards 192 cm+ in our 22.

I'd suggest it's because both gov and Charlie are fitness tests and the club is covering for the possibility of neither being fit.

It comes down to being part of a very large collection of people with different personalities and journeys. Why do you need everyone to share your own belief?

If I can make an earnest suggestion, take a day or two off. It's just a forum and shouldn't be the cause of stress, which several of your posts today have indicated it has become. There's enough stressors in life (and as a Carlton supporter) as it is. The place will hopefully be buzzing come Sunday.

That’s one helluva an ordinary forward line. Rest of the team looks alright but where will the goals come from m?
GC by 20 points. Dew wants it more than Bolton.

Let's be realistic, Charlie and Gov have been selected on the hope they will both come up given it is a Sunday game but I suspect one or both won't

But if the do, Levi will be left out

That may be the case. That theory would be more comforting if Casboult wasnt selected in the 18.

The Casboult selection is one of my gripes true. I think its a poor selection for the following reasons.

1. The obvious issue is he makes our side too tall, too slow, too cumbersome.
2. He really isnt AFL standard. 17 clubs could have had him for free. 17 clubs said no thanks. Why? Because hes a poor footballer, even if he does have some highly visible commendable qualities. And he cant kick.
3. He's too similar to McKay. Theres no point of difference, and they compete for the same positions. It makes us one dimensional forward when theyre together.
4. Our forward defense is already poor. He makes it diabolical.
5. And lastly, but most importantly, he took McKays job. What people dont understand is that while McKay is developing well as a forward, its just as important for McKay to get as much time as possible playing in the ruck. He needs the opportunity and we need to give it to him. Hes our future relief ruckman and when we're competing he needs to be competitive.

Who are we cutting?

This game needs got be about winning sunday, no eyes on the future, no development, but the best side to win this game. Surely Curnow isn't fit, if he is Cas surely goes out, so I'm ignoring him. Polson is out, Stocker is out, Curnow out and LOB. Gibbons on his last chance and to play midfield.

We can't afford to have 3-4 players getting 7 or less touches this week.

Firstly I'm not happy with the 18.

However if I must choose 4 I'd go with:
Charlie- if fit he's in our top players. Have to pick him.
O'Brien- you shouldn't give a young kid one game and then chop him. He needs two or three games before being assessed.
Kennedy- he'll learn nothing in the VFL. Too good not to play.
Newman- dont throw out the baby with the bath water after one bad game.

I count 4, with at least 1 of them to not play, that would leave 3, with 1 of those 3 playing backup ruck.
