The draw is as good as a loss as our percentage is better than the clubs we are competing against for a finals spot.

Is there a dumber team in the AFL? Castagna, Aarts, Balta Cumberland et al. Never has a team had such poor awareness. I'm starting to feel for Tarrant, Baker and a few others who gave everything only for some low Football IQ challenged players to undo all their determined work. Personally I thought Nankervis and Soldo were awful tonight. Dropped uncontested marks, poor when the ball hits the ground from 2 premiership ruckmen. Just too many substandard efforts from Graham, Pickett, Edwards. Riewoldt manages to give frees away at the end of every close game, still tries round the body kicks and bombs the ball to opposing ruckmen. He's learnt nothing.

I'm so glad that none of our grand finals were close when there was only 3 mins to go.

Also Short is a running half back flanker not a centre square mid/half forward.

Baker was fantastic tonight. He can play anywhere, and we need him up forward more than down back atm.

Except for the unrewarded Cumbers tackle in the last 2 mins

and the fair bump by Soldo….no one knew what the free was for…that was in the last,,,in their forward half

Negative votes for Prestia? I thought he was pretty good.

My negative votes;

-3: Balta . Everything he touched turned to s**t. His lack of awareness is staggering.
-2: Ralphsmith. Had as bad a game as Balta. I was hoping he was the one to be subbed off. He either fumbled it or turned it over.
-1: Graham. I think there was a piece of play in the final quarter where he didn't bumble and fumble the ball directly into the path of a Fremantle player.

Balta also missed a set shot 20M in the second from a free kick... But Nank deserves a special mention. Graham was completely missing. Sonsie far better from less opportunities.

Not perfect but no real complaints either

I agree, but I think the AFL are in a no-win situation.
They need to protect the head to minimise litigation down the path - but in our game it's a tricky thing to do.
They need to discourage/penalise high tackles and also discouraging/penalise ducking drawing head-high contact, which just leads to more grey areas and inconsistent umpire interpretation and more supporter frustration and disengagement.
