Did I read correctly that we have been in front at three quarter time in 14 of 16 games?

We're 9-5 in 14 games when leading at 3/4 time. We've lost to Carlton Saints Swans Geelong and now the Suns.

Grimes, a poor start and a poor finish.

I thought game was well umpired.

We were nearly 40 points up.

Castagna just kicks the goal and we are 22 up.

Aarts does something better than pass it to the guy in the square and we win.

But even the commentators were questioning 'what on earth' Castagna was doing with his back turned on goal? I've been watching the game since 94 and I've never seen anything like that or more ineffective in front of goal. In fact I have never seen a worse kick than Castagna in my time watching or playing footy.

What about the basic requirement of Short to not give away a dumb 50m penalty that resulted in Rowell kicking a goal with 23 minutes gone?
What about the basic requirement of Grimes to not give away a down field free kick with 25 minutes gone?
What about the basic requirement of Grimes to not miss a spoil with 27 minutes gone that allowed Chol to kick the goal that game them a real chance with about 90 second left?
What about the basic requirement of Grimes not dropping a regulation chest mark with less than a minute to go that resulted in the ball going to Day who passed to Anderson, who was left unmanned inside 50 because his opponent didn't run hard in the last minute of the game to man him up?
What about the basic requirement of Vlastuin to not get himself suspended by stupidly whacking West in the last 5 minutes of last weeks game?

If we're going to hammer whipping boys for not doing the basics then perhaps we should also have a crack at some of the fan favourites who made mistakes in the interests of being fair.
