Not much to say this week. It was a must win and we won. Didn't feel under any threat throughout apart from the first qtr, but we managed the lead well.

Taranto had an off day ball in hand but got 12 tackles which shows character. Still got in my votes. I love him. Bit slow though, so don't expect him to evolve into an explosive beast out of stoppages.

Ross had a better second half, but I'd still be content if we traded him. I just don't see any upside in his game.

Ryan was good, but looked very tired! Completely understandable though. He has been doing big minutes, fought through it though. Wouldn't be shocked if he gets a rest soon. Persist with him in the ruck.

I've been harsh on Short in the past, but he got in my bests today.

Oh and finally, Balta was best on after quarter time and should be higher in the votes. I always say this but if you're willing to sink the boots in when he has an off day, you need to be self aware enough to give him the plaudits he deserves when he plays well.
He literally stuck his ball sack on Hawks head and blanketed him after quarter time and made some really damaging offensive plays.

P.S. Bloody hell Broad has to be one of the best ever pick-ups. We plucked him from the scraps of the draft.

Turns out I had a little to speak about.
Harsh critic of Balta. His 2 best games this year against old timers(Tex & Hawkins).Played well but still got done when Hawkins was fresh in the 1st.An athelete trying to play as a footballer will always get those moments in a game.Good game BUT.

hutchys station "the tigers proved to good for an injury hit cats " 😂

how can they say that with a straight face with big sexy and lynch out
Every other team can make an excuse when they lose except for the tigers .
Chris sook saying we were lucky 😂 what a ****ing sore losing campaigner , gutter trash and ****wit flog .

When we had significant injury’s at the start of the season only old vampire Lloyd and old man Thomas who actually pointed out we were ****ed injury wise when the rest of the afl media landscape said we are cooked

Think it was more the way he played Hawkins in the first
He tried to go man on man with him and worried about him to much and that played into Hawkins hands who despite his age is still probably the best one on one forward in the comp, got to remember he still kicked 8 goals just a few weeks ago

Later in the game he just backed himself in to play the ball more

Healy and whately crying about the dusty “push”. Singled out umpire rosebury or whoever t the umpire was. They seemed mad.
how was that a push

was in the side which is legal and the geelol bloke went for a fly after it

Dont underestimate the importance of JGTI…
His role in that chain of handballs from half back is crucial.

I haven't seen it mentioned, but the first goal of the game, that chain of possession where Rioli ran it off HBF, passed it, got it back, and then delivered it lace out to Cotchin in the F50 - have a look who gives it to Rioli on the wing.

JGTI to Rioli - lots of stuff happens - Rioli to Cotchin - Cotchin to JGTI - GOAL!

Great gut running. Geelong player couldn't go with him.

Good morning Richmond brothers. Great way to start the weekend. The sweet smell of salty tears flowing up the highway from Corio.

Happy GIF

That was a fantastic win. We controlled the ball better than we have all year and it felt like our pressure was as good as it’s been this season.

We took our chances, but unlike Geelong we were tapping them in from pretty close unlike the cats who were scrubbing them out of packs or from 50 out.

Only real concern was our clearances in the first half. Around the ground Cameron came up to the pack as broad was sitting deep, they tried to get it into his hands to force a change. Losing those clearances were a result of broad helping out Balta so we had to live with that.

Center clearances with even numbers were a lot harder to swallow. It seems this year the ball just never bounces our way. Even when we get a tap to advantage an opposition players gets a hand in or we fumble. Second half was an improvement.
