Story of the season is that our stars went down injured, then the second tier who the stars usually make better showed their true standard, and the young players coming in couldn’t compensate.

Always felt like our list over performed during the premiersHip years, mainly limited players getting the best out of themselves in clearly defined roles. They were lifted by the stars we had in Dusty, Jack, Cotch, Lynch, Grimes.

Chop and change the line up every week with no consistency, then we got into a spiral with confidence shot.

Isn’t that the way for all premierships? Role players fulfil their roles and look great while the elite core put you over the top.

I feel like we need to keep one of Rioli or Baker (just one) and clean out every other player who wants out. I’m not a fan of culling all your experience but Taranto and Hopper are still there. Bolton and Graham may fill needs at Freo and/or West Coast but they aren’t much use to us anymore.
