Exactly ... send Short forward ... or better still Dan Rioli has kicked 100 as a forward ... or here is an idea Jacob Bauer been clunking marks and kicking goals for years now ... maybe play him rather than Brown ... a guy that just never has succeeded forward ... Banks and Brown are half backs

was a pretty entertaining game until mid way thru the 3rd, when the umps gave them 3 goals on a platter. We hung in there but ultimately another gift to start the 4th to that no achievements campaigner Dixon killed the fight, and we stunk up the last quarter.

All things considered, some positives from some players through the game. Given we are playing with spuds like Ryan, Kozi and Dow who don’t belong on an afl list, plus veterans who need to be moved on in McIntosh, broad and short, we either did pretty well to stay in it or port are really that shit. These players need to be off our list next year or relegated to only VFL.

And put Brown back down back. Don’t fck with his development when he was looking good there. Mansell was good, had a few blues but worked his backside off and got some scoreboard reward. Nank was concerning, was being beaten by Sweet and then subbed off. What was the go?

End of season can’t come soon enough. I would drop the veterans and only play kids now. Getting games into them is the only benefit we can get out of their season now

We are a pretty good 3 quarter team - any chance we can work on that 4th one though as it seems to be the key to winning, just saying …

Third of the side are kids and another third are spent. Hard to manage 4 competitive qtrs against a good experienced team. Thought we actually did quite well given our opponent and who we had out there tbh.

• Rioli's first half
• Dion appearing not to be injured (touch wood)
• Seth Campbell looked fresher after a game off - good selection strategy
• Tresize pretty good
• Steely Green looked good again
• Kaleb Smith did some good (and the odd bad but good learning experience)
• Running forward in waves when we got it in our defensive half - looked more cohesive.

Negatives:

• fell apart when Nank went off
• Kosi's lack of ability to compete in the air - bloody crack in - you've got a big frame, use it.
• Broad making the sort of errors players do when they are almost done and going through the motions.
• Obvious push in the back that killed any momentum and the game. The missed one when Mansell was flattened behind the play was ordinary as well.
• Leaving Houston without any attention once he became more dangerous than having Rioli free... (in the 3rd).
• Not convinced on Brown as a forward.

Changes:
Tempting to drop Broad and play Brown back there

In: Taranto, Dusty (if fit), Vlaustin, Bauer
Out: Dow (first in, first out), Broad (had multiple shocking moments with and without the ball), Sonsie, Kosi/Ryan

If Nank is out, then bring Blight in and play Balta in the ruck, resting forward.

Into VFL team: MRJ, Pickett (if fit), Cumbo, Graham, Sonsie, Broad, Dow, Kosi/Ryan

It’s dead easy to see why they experimented, our f50 is shit , he can take a mark the idea would be to compete across HF , early on he made a couple ,,,,drifted out of the game , can’t play 6 players across HB ,,,,I’d play him off a wing , with his delivery that’s about perfect

Ryan is such a poor player at afl level, forget vfl where he does OK.
He looks totally inept. A big pre season coming up for him to put some muscle on but even more importantly, someone needs to take teach him foot basics
