A 36-year-old man was arrested and capsicum sprayed after allegedly punching an officer who spoke to him about urinating outside the MCG.

A 19-year-old Drouin woman is expected to be charged with assault and intentionally causing injury after an alleged incident before the game at one of the entry gates

That 19yo woman that happened in the AFL members. Walked past em aprox 15min before the game. Poor behaviour.

So many entitled people out there these days. I think they must spend all day watching Facebook as they come out so wound up and angry about everything.

What I would go for vs Sydney:

Gibcus - Tarrant - Grimes
Rioli - Vlaustin - Baker
Pickett - Short - KMac
Rioli - Graham - Bolton
Cumberland - Martin - Riewoldt

Nank - Prestia - Cotch

Ross - Soldo - Castagna - Broad

Sub: Edwards

IN: Pickett, Graham, Cumberland
OUT: Lynch (inj), Lambert (inj), Aarts (Omitted)

Edwards out of the starting lineup only cause I prefer Pickett on the wing more than Edwards. Not down to anything else.
Cumberland deserves a debut after multiple goal scoring games in the VFL. Plays taller than he is.

Things I don't mind seeing:
  • Biggie/Miller playing as a fwd for Lynch if we don't go the Cumberland route
  • Stack in for George (not trying to bag George, just something I don't mind seeing)
  • Ralphsmith for KMac (again, not necessarily cause KMac was poor, but Ralphsmith very impressive in the VFL)
  • Dow back in

At the game you could see his organisation of the backline. Just another general there to go with grimes and Vlastuin.
Has Robbie ever played in front of so many fabs
Would have thought with Norf knobs lucky to get 20000 to a block buster
He must be wishing he had been traded years ago
Very impressed with his game last night and his goal that the scum took off him

let's be fair, Edwards had many chances to come up to speed on his form, had Stack had the same chance you would be singing a different tune.
Edwards is a 3 time premiership player and All Australian who hasnt turned up to pre season 2 years running unfit with his skin folds well over.

They want the sport to look like it did in the 90’s. What they can’t accept is that coaching and training has advanced heaps since then. All the rule “fixes” they bring in are to fix the game they see then in front of them, not the game that’s going to be played in a seasons time or 5 seasons etc.

I look at old games and laugh at how naive and unsophisticated most of the play is. It’s all offense and lazy turnstile tackling, they’d get eaten alive playing that way these days.

Yes but they didn’t have stand the mark nomination of the ruck and wait till a ruck is at the throw in or ball up
Very simple change the rules back to was AFL and pay holding the ball and watch fans comeback in droves

We'd get the same chol like years past.
He's playing well because he's getting games.Something he would never get with us for obvious reasons.

Which was 10 games a season that covered key times when either Jack, Tom, Soldo, or Toby got injured.

Without Chol we would not have finished top 4 in 2019 or 2020. He had key moments where he came in impacted winning

We should be second favs for the flag after melbourne. I dont rate freo or the lions to come good when its finals time. Keep the troops on the park and we are a strong chance of sending our tiger greats out with a 4th flag. How good would that be!

What are you basing that on our zero wins against top 8 teams and a solid month beating up 4 of the worst 8 teams in the comp?

Miller I could see but Biggy would have no clue.

some players with a high ceiling need investment, hard for them to get games in a premiership side.
Injuries and age catching up with several now. If he’s committed , fit and form demands it there’s plenty of opportunities.
I hope he takes it with both hands when it’s presented

Because he is not meant to be playing in the twos, so he doesn't lift like other players do. fitness should not be an issue now. its all mental IMO.

The balls in his court. How BADLY does he want to play AFL? If he can’t lift to get himself an opportunity that’s his fault….. he doesn’t have the runs on the board to pick and choose when he ‘lifts’. And I’ll be shattered if he’s lost to footy - the kid was a close second favourite for the Rising Star to Walsh for a few weeks before injury - he’s an absolute jet who could be an A-grader for us. I think we have to be honest with ourselves as to why his talent is not being seen at AFL level right now … hopefully the penny drops at some stage very soon as he could help our team be a contender as soon as 2022.
