A couple of problems last night that have been problems in most of our losses and some of our wins this season
- slow start to the first quarter, letting them kick 4 of the first 5.
- they kicked 3 in about 10 minutes in the third when Nank was on the bench. Lack of a second ruckman usually costs us a couple of goals against the better teams when Nank is resting, but carrying a second ruck for the rest of the game would probably come at a greater price.

7 of their 11 goals came in those two patches. Thought we had the better of them the rest of the night, but they were cleaner with their field and goal kicking.

Agree there tho ,but surely Moore should be pinch hitting in ruck can't be worse then a midfielder otherwise bit useless.Wouldn't mind trying Soldo rucking and Nank forward in a game.

I'm sort of expecting Hardwick to admit a mistake again. Losing Graham and not replacing him with McIntosh/Townsend was interesting
That’s a very good point as he was brave enough to admit this error , yet some people on here believe this is a fallacy and shouldn’t be discussed. I personally believe they got it wrong again , but this is my opinion.

Personally i would be tempted not to make a change this week except rest a player and play stengle

We are playing St Kilda and will be an easy game
Get an extra game into Bolton , Think 1st game back against a quality team away ...... Give him another game
C.Ellis put the hard word on him that he needs to Perform and show why the club needs to keep him ......... Atleast it would keep the fan bois happy
Moore has to stay, He is a KPF and needs to get as many games pumped into him than any other player. I would hate to think what we do if Jack cops an injury just before the finals
Stengle deserves a game and we can afford to give a player a rest Edwards, Cotchin or Grigg

Easy game were everybody's grandfinal anyone is beatable on there day if you don't rock up.We are carrying a few not contributing enough and injuries.I think people need to realise nothing is a given and we need still up the anti and work hard.

If we go into the game thinking this then we will lose. We could tumble down the ladder if we lose next week.

Mate I would be happy if Townsend and McIntosh never play seniors again. Both are not up to it.
But you are right in one way. at least they add some hardness. Stengle has to come in.
And you reckon cellis and Bolton are , I seriously need some convincing . I haven’t put Moore there coz I’ve seen something in a couple of games , cellis and Bolton’s on exposed 2018 form have given us nothing and from a selectors POV would be fast running out of trust. Kmac and townso have at least delivered before and are both young , they’re not shot yet

I probably need to watch a replay but I thought Castanga's efforts and ability to bring the ball to ground were really good. Obviously his finishing was absolutely dogshit - which resulted in him having a poor game - but I certainly wouldn't drop him, particularly with Butts already out. Could easily kick 5 straight next week. Has runs on the board for mine.

Disappointed in Corey Ellis. Really hoped, even thought, he was going to be a player for us but it's looking less and less likely.

I think Towna will play again before seasons end, and hopefully holds his spot for finals.

I’m Actually thinking townso could do JG role , both similar pace, no doubt 1 or both kmac and townso return

Nice to se Balmey catch up with his mate at the airport for a chat and latte

Interesting that you give KMac and Townsend a 'free' pass but Bolton and C.Ellis get caned when neither have played 5 games this year. Townsend if we're being honest, was probably the most fortunate premiership players in recent memory. Got a chance 2 weeks before finals and made the most of it and has been quickly worked out once 2018 rolled around. KMac on the other hand worked hard and earned his spot in the side, but has been found wanting this year as he lost his spot down back with Short coming in as the extra rebounding defender and Broad taking the 3rd tall role alongside Grimes.

Both of them have played decent senior football in 2018, accept they’ve been inconsistent however they’ve still contributed at times. I’m not convinced that cellis or Bolton are able to positively contribute at senior level . Theyve failed to step up to the level and I’m more patient than most

There’s no doubt Kmac and Townsend were both instrumental components of our premiership team and are better than the players who played last night.

Key point, made the most of it. Corey Ellis hasn’t been able to do that whenever he’s played. The kid just isn’t confident in himself enough.

Don't think any of the 4 have played well at senior level this year. At the moment though because of injuries they are the players that we need to turn to and who we need to step up.

Agree both were instrumental components of the premiership, debatable as to whether they are better overall.

If Kmac comes in it’s nothing to do with form, not in the top 6 against Norf

Lloyd 38 touches 10 inside 50s

Towno 26 touches 2 goals

Wombo 26 6 goals

Menadue 29 touches 6 inside 50s

but when you look at the chaos points from yesterday's VFL:

lloyd 28

towner 30

wombo 42

menadue 30

kmac 86

will be an in next week

Hard to argue that.

I apologise for this but.... I just say Robbie gray smashed into the ground with a pinned tackle that could have killed him. Send off rule and 20 weeks ain’t enough. This tackle will kill someone someday.
Just saw it, the worst I've seen.
